Surah Al-Fajr سُورَةُ الفَجۡرِ

وَٱلۡفَجۡرِ ﴿١﴾

Eebe wuxuu ku dhaartay Waabariga

By the dawn

وَلَیَالٍ عَشۡرࣲ ﴿٢﴾

Iyo Habenanada Tobanka ah (Arrafo)

And [by] ten nights

وَٱلشَّفۡعِ وَٱلۡوَتۡرِ ﴿٣﴾

Iyo Tirada siman iyo tan is dheer

And [by] the even [number] and the odd

وَٱلَّیۡلِ إِذَا یَسۡرِ ﴿٤﴾

Iyo Habeenku markuu tagayu

And [by] the night when it passes

هَلۡ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ قَسَمࣱ لِّذِی حِجۡرٍ ﴿٥﴾

Miyayna arrintaasu ahayn wax loogu dhaarto Qof caqli leh

Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception

أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَیۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ ﴿٦﴾

Ma ku soo Gaadhay sida Eebahaa ku falay Caad

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad

إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ ﴿٧﴾

Ee ahaa Irama xooggana lahaa

[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars

ٱلَّتِی لَمۡ یُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِی ٱلۡبِلَـٰدِ ﴿٨﴾

Wax la mid ahna aan iugu abuurin dhulka

The likes of whom had never been created in the land

وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِینَ جَابُوا۟ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ ﴿٩﴾

Iyo Thamuud-kii ahaa dhagaxa kuwa ku jarjara Waadiga

And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley

وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِی ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ ﴿١٠﴾

lyo Fircoonkii dhakawyada lahaa

And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes

ٱلَّذِینَ طَغَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡبِلَـٰدِ ﴿١١﴾

kuwiina ahaa ku xadgudbay dhulka

[All of] whom oppressed within the lands

فَأَكۡثَرُوا۟ فِیهَا ٱلۡفَسَادَ ﴿١٢﴾

Kuna badiyay dhexdiisa fassaadka

And increased therein the corruption

فَصَبَّ عَلَیۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ ﴿١٣﴾

Markaasaana Eeba ku shubay Caddibaad daran

So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلۡمِرۡصَادِ ﴿١٤﴾

Maxaayeelay Eebe waa u darbanyahay (abaalmarinta)

Indeed, your Lord is in observation

فَأَمَّا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكۡرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَیَقُولُ رَبِّیۤ أَكۡرَمَنِ ﴿١٥﴾

Marks Eebe Dadka imtixaano xoolana ugu nicmeeyo wuxuu dhihi (kan xun) waa lai sharrifay (isagoo faani)

And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me

وَأَمَّاۤ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَیۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَیَقُولُ رَبِّیۤ أَهَـٰنَنِ ﴿١٦﴾

Haddiise Eebe imtixaano oo Xoolaha ku yareeyo wuxuu dhihi Eebaa i dulleeyay

But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me

كَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا تُكۡرِمُونَ ٱلۡیَتِیمَ ﴿١٧﴾

Saas ma aha ee waxaydaan dhaqaalaynayn Agoonka

No! But you do not honor the orphan

وَلَا تَحَـٰۤضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِینِ ﴿١٨﴾

Mana fartaan in masaakiinta wax la siiyo

And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor

وَتَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلتُّرَاثَ أَكۡلࣰا لَّمࣰّا ﴿١٩﴾

Waxaadna aad u cuntaan dhaxal xaq darro

And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether

وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡمَالَ حُبࣰّا جَمࣰّا ﴿٢٠﴾

Xoolahana waxaad u jeceshihiin si daran

And you love wealth with immense love

كَلَّاۤۖ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ دَكࣰّا دَكࣰّا ﴿٢١﴾

Saas ma aha ee marka dhulka la burburiyo

No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed

وَجَاۤءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلۡمَلَكُ صَفࣰّا صَفࣰّا ﴿٢٢﴾

Eebe iyo Malaguna la yimaaddo amarkiisa Malaa'igtoo safan

And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank

وَجِا۟یۤءَ یَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ یَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ ﴿٢٣﴾

Naarta Jahannamana Maalintaas la keeno, Dadku waxay xusuusan waxay faleen, Maxayse xusuusi tari

And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance

یَقُولُ یَـٰلَیۡتَنِی قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَیَاتِی ﴿٢٤﴾

Waxay dhihi shallaytee maan wanaag hormarsado

He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life

فَیَوۡمَئِذࣲ لَّا یُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥۤ أَحَدࣱ ﴿٢٥﴾

Malintaas sida Eebe wax ruux u Cadaabi ma jiro

So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment

وَلَا یُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥۤ أَحَدࣱ ﴿٢٦﴾

Wax sida Eebe wax u xidhina ma jiro

And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]

یَـٰۤأَیَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ ﴿٢٧﴾

Naftase xaqa rumaysay ee Xasillooneey

[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul

ٱرۡجِعِیۤ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِیَةࣰ مَّرۡضِیَّةࣰ ﴿٢٨﴾

U noqo Eebaha adoo raalli ah lagana raalli noqday

Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]

فَٱدۡخُلِی فِی عِبَـٰدِی ﴿٢٩﴾

dhexgalna Addoomadayda (wanaagsan)

And enter among My [righteous] servants

وَٱدۡخُلِی جَنَّتِی ﴿٣٠﴾

Galna Jannadayda

And enter My Paradise
