Surah Al-A'laa سُورَةُ الأَعۡلَىٰ

۞ سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى ﴿١﴾

Waynee Magaca Eebe ee Sarreeya

Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High

ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٢﴾

Eebaha abuuray khalqiga ekeeyayna

Who created and proportioned

وَٱلَّذِی قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ﴿٣﴾

Eebaha wax walba qaddaray Jidkana tusiyey

And who destined and [then] guided

وَٱلَّذِیۤ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ ﴿٤﴾

Eebaha soo bixiya Daaqa

And who brings out the pasture

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَاۤءً أَحۡوَىٰ ﴿٥﴾

Kana dhiga markaas ka dib caws ingagagan oo Madow

And [then] makes it black stubble

سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰۤ ﴿٦﴾

Waxaan kuu akhriyaynaa Quraanka halmaaminamaysid

We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget

إِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ یَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا یَخۡفَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

Wuxuu Eebe doono mooyee, Eebana waa ogyahay waxa muuqda iyo waxa qarsoonba

Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden

وَنُیَسِّرُكَ لِلۡیُسۡرَىٰ ﴿٨﴾

Waxaana kuu fududaynhaynaa Waddo fiican

And We will ease you toward ease

فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ ﴿٩﴾

Ee wax waani (Nabiyow) markay wax tari waanadu

So remind, if the reminder should benefit

سَیَذَّكَّرُ مَن یَخۡشَىٰ ﴿١٠﴾

Waxaa waantoobi Ruuxa Eebe ka yaabee

He who fears [Allah] will be reminded

وَیَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى ﴿١١﴾

Waxaana ka fogaan waanada Ruuxa xune

But the wretched one will avoid it

ٱلَّذِی یَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ ﴿١٢﴾

Ee ah mid gali Naar wayn

[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire

ثُمَّ لَا یَمُوتُ فِیهَا وَلَا یَحۡیَىٰ ﴿١٣﴾

Oon kuna dhimanayn dhexdeeda kuna noolanayn

Neither dying therein nor living

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٤﴾

Waxaana liibaanay Ruuxii Daahir noqda

He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ﴿١٥﴾

magaca Eebana Xusa, Salaaddana tukada

And mentions the name of his Lord and prays

بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا ﴿١٦﴾

Saas ma'aha ee Dadku wuxuu doortay nolosha Adduunyo ee dhaw

But you prefer the worldly life

وَٱلۡءَاخِرَةُ خَیۡرࣱ وَأَبۡقَىٰۤ ﴿١٧﴾

Aakhiraase khayr badan baaqina ah (hadhi)

While the Hereafter is better and more enduring

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِی ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ ﴿١٨﴾

Arrintaasuna waxay ku sugantahay Kutubtii hore

Indeed, this is in the former scriptures

صُحُفِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ﴿١٩﴾

Kutubtii (Nabi) Ibraahim iyo (Nabi) Muuse

The scriptures of Abraham and Moses
