Surah Al-Mutaffifin سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينَ

وَیۡلࣱ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِینَ ﴿١﴾

Wuxuu Halaag u sugnaaday kuwa xaqa nusqaamiya

Woe to those who give less [than due]

ٱلَّذِینَ إِذَا ٱكۡتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ یَسۡتَوۡفُونَ ﴿٢﴾

Waa kuwa markay miisina oofsada (dhammaystirta)

Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمۡ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمۡ یُخۡسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾

Markay u miisi ama u miisaamina ka nusqaamiya

But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss

أَلَا یَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰۤئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Miyayna u malaynaynin kuwaasi in loo soo bixin

Do they not think that they will be resurrected

لِیَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ﴿٥﴾

Maalin wayn darteed (Qiyaamada)

For a tremendous Day

یَوۡمَ یَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٦﴾

Maalinta Dadku u istaagi Eebaha Caalamka

The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds

كَلَّاۤ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلۡفُجَّارِ لَفِی سِجِّینࣲ ﴿٧﴾

Saas ma aha ee Camalka kuwa xun wuxuu ku Qoranyahay Sijiin

No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen

وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّینࣱ ﴿٨﴾

Ma taqaannaa Sijiin

And what can make you know what is sijjeen

كِتَـٰبࣱ مَّرۡقُومࣱ ﴿٩﴾

Waa Kitaab calaamaysan

It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ﴿١٠﴾

Halaagna wuxuu u sugnaaday Maalintaas kuwa beeniya (xaqa)

Woe, that Day, to the deniers

ٱلَّذِینَ یُكَذِّبُونَ بِیَوۡمِ ٱلدِّینِ ﴿١١﴾

Ee ah kuwa beeniya Maalinta abaal marinta

Who deny the Day of Recompense

وَمَا یُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦۤ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِیمٍ ﴿١٢﴾

Waxaana beeniya xaqa mid xad gudba oo dambiila ah

And none deny it except every sinful transgressor

إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡهِ ءَایَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِیرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿١٣﴾

Marka Quraanka lagu akhriyana yidhaahda waa warkii Dadkii hore

When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples

كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Saas ma aha ee waxaa fuulay Qalbigooda (mirdhiyay) waxay kasbanjireen oo Dambi ah

No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning

كَلَّاۤ إِنَّهُمۡ عَن رَّبِّهِمۡ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Waxaa sugan in Eebohood Maalintaas (Qiyaame) laga xijaabi

No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned

ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ ﴿١٦﴾

Markaasna ay gali Jaxiimo

Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire

ثُمَّ یُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِی كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

Waxaana loo odhan tani waa Naartaad ku beeninayseen Adduunka

Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny

كَلَّاۤ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ لَفِی عِلِّیِّینَ ﴿١٨﴾

Saas xaalku ma aha ee Kitaabka iyo Camalka Dadka Wanaagsan wuxuu ku Quranyahay Cilliyiin

No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun

وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّیُّونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Cilliyiin ma taqaannaa

And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun

كِتَـٰبࣱ مَّرۡقُومࣱ ﴿٢٠﴾

Waa Kitaab la Calaameeyay (oo Dadka fiican magaciisa lagu qoro)

It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

یَشۡهَدُهُ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Waxaana Gacanta ku haya Malaa'ig Eebe u dhaw

Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]

إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِی نَعِیمٍ ﴿٢٢﴾

Kuwa wanaagsan waxay gali Naciima (Janno)

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَاۤئِكِ یَنظُرُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾

(Maalinta Qiyaamana) Sariiro yay ku dangiigsanaan oy wax ka daawan

On adorned couches, observing

تَعۡرِفُ فِی وُجُوهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ﴿٢٤﴾

Wajigooda waanad ka garan Nicmada

You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure

یُسۡقَوۡنَ مِن رَّحِیقࣲ مَّخۡتُومٍ ﴿٢٥﴾

Waxaana laga waraabin cabbid la dhawray (oo macaan)

They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed

خِتَـٰمُهُۥ مِسۡكࣱۚ وَفِی ذَ ٰلِكَ فَلۡیَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَـٰفِسُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Waxaana lagu khatimaa Miski iyo udgoon, ee Arrintaas ha u tartameen Tartamayaashu

The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete

وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسۡنِیمٍ ﴿٢٧﴾

Waxaana lagu dheehi Cabbitaan

And its mixture is of Tasneem

عَیۡنࣰا یَشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾

Waa Il ay ka cabbaan kuwa Eebe u dhaw

A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ أَجۡرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ یَضۡحَكُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾

Kuwii Dambaabay (Gaaloobay) waxay ahaayeen kuwa ku qosla kuwii xaqa rumeeyay

Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed

وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمۡ یَتَغَامَزُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾

Haday maraanna way xaqirijireen

And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances

وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰۤ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِینَ ﴿٣١﴾

Markay Guryahoodii u noqdaanna (gaaladu) waxay noqonjireen iyagoo isla Wayn (oo raaxaysan)

And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting

وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ لَضَاۤلُّونَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Markay arkaan Mu'miniintana waxay dhahaan kuwaasi waa dhunsanyihiin

And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost

وَمَاۤ أُرۡسِلُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِمۡ حَـٰفِظِینَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Loomana dirin inay ilaaliyaan Mu'miniinta

But they had not been sent as guardians over them

فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ یَضۡحَكُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾

Maalinta (qiyaame) kuwa rumeeyay xaqa waxay ku qosli gaalada

So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers

عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَاۤئِكِ یَنظُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Sariiro korkood yayna wax daawan

On adorned couches, observing

هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡعَلُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾

Miyaan laga abaalmarinnin Gaalada waxay falayeen. (waa laga abaalmariyay)

Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do
