Surah At-Takwir سُورَةُ التَّكۡوِيرِ

إِذَا ٱلشَّمۡسُ كُوِّرَتۡ ﴿١﴾

Marka qorraxda la duubo (Qiyaamada)

When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]

وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتۡ ﴿٢﴾

Xiddiguhuna daataan (iyagoo Madow)

And when the stars fall, dispersing

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ سُیِّرَتۡ ﴿٣﴾

Buurahana la kexeeyo (La rujiyo)

And when the mountains are removed

وَإِذَا ٱلۡعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتۡ ﴿٤﴾

Geelii rimmanaana la halleeyo

And when full-term she-camels are neglected

وَإِذَا ٱلۡوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتۡ ﴿٥﴾

Dugaaggana la kulmiyo (Qisaas darteed)

And when the wild beasts are gathered

وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتۡ ﴿٦﴾

Badahana la kululeeyo

And when the seas are filled with flame

وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتۡ ﴿٧﴾

Naf walbana Jidhkeedii lammaaneeyo

And when the souls are paired

وَإِذَا ٱلۡمَوۡءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتۡ ﴿٨﴾

Gabdhihii la xabaalnololiyayna la warsado

And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked

بِأَیِّ ذَنۢبࣲ قُتِلَتۡ ﴿٩﴾

Maxaa dambi ah oo loo dilay

For what sin she was killed

وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتۡ ﴿١٠﴾

Kutubta (camalkana) la fidiyo

And when the pages are made public

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ كُشِطَتۡ ﴿١١﴾

Samadana la rujiyo

And when the sky is stripped away

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجَحِیمُ سُعِّرَتۡ ﴿١٢﴾

Naarta Jaxiimana la huriyo

And when Hellfire is set ablaze

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجَنَّةُ أُزۡلِفَتۡ ﴿١٣﴾

Jannadana la dhaweeyo

And when Paradise is brought near

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسࣱ مَّاۤ أَحۡضَرَتۡ ﴿١٤﴾

Waxay ogaan nafu waxay camal fashay

A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]

فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلۡخُنَّسِ ﴿١٥﴾

Waxaan ku dhaartay «huu Eebe yidhi» Xiddigaha Qarsooma (Maalintii)

So I swear by the retreating stars

ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡكُنَّسِ ﴿١٦﴾

Ee socda iftiinka Qorraxdana ku qarsooma

Those that run [their courses] and disappear

وَٱلَّیۡلِ إِذَا عَسۡعَسَ ﴿١٧﴾

Iyo Habecnku markuu jeedsado

And by the night as it closes in

وَٱلصُّبۡحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ ﴿١٨﴾

Iyo subaxu markuu soo qaabilo

And by the dawn when it breathes

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ﴿١٩﴾

Ee Quraanku waa hadalka Eebe, Soona raray Malag sharaf lah

[That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger

ذِی قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِی ٱلۡعَرۡشِ مَكِینࣲ ﴿٢٠﴾

Xoogna leh Eeba agtiisana Daraja ku leh

[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position]

مُّطَاعࣲ ثَمَّ أَمِینࣲ ﴿٢١﴾

Laguna addeeco halkaas aaminna ah

Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy

وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجۡنُونࣲ ﴿٢٢﴾

Saaxiibkiinna (Nabiguna) ma aha ku waalan

And your companion is not [at all] mad

وَلَقَدۡ رَءَاهُ بِٱلۡأُفُقِ ٱلۡمُبِینِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Horaybuuna ugn arkay Jibriil Jahadii Caddayd (Bariga Maka)

And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon

وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلۡغَیۡبِ بِضَنِینࣲ ﴿٢٤﴾

Nabiguna ma aha Ruux lugu shakiyo waxa Maqan

And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَیۡطَـٰنࣲ رَّجِیمࣲ ﴿٢٥﴾

Qaraankuna ma aha hadal shaydaan la fogeeyay

And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]

فَأَیۡنَ تَذۡهَبُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Ee xaggeed Gaalooy aadaysaan

So where are you going

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Quraankuna waxaan waanada caalamka ahayn ina aha (waa waano)

It is not except a reminder to the worlds

لِمَن شَاۤءَ مِنكُمۡ أَن یَسۡتَقِیمَ ﴿٢٨﴾

Ruuxii doona inuu toosnaado (yuuna u yahay)

For whoever wills among you to take a right course

وَمَا تَشَاۤءُونَ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَشَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٢٩﴾

Waxna ma dooni kartaan in Eebaha Caalamku doona mooyec

And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds
