Surah An-Naba سُورَةُ النَّبَإِ

۞ عَمَّ یَتَسَاۤءَلُونَ ﴿١﴾

Maxay iska waydiinayaan (Gaaladu)

About what are they asking one another

عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ﴿٢﴾

Warkii waynaa xaggiisa (Qiyayaamada ama Quraanka)

About the great news

ٱلَّذِی هُمۡ فِیهِ مُخۡتَلِفُونَ ﴿٣﴾

Ay isku diiddanaayeen

That over which they are in disagreement

كَلَّا سَیَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Saas ma aha ee way ogaan donaan

No! They are going to know

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَیَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿٥﴾

Haddana way ogaandoonaan (wa xa ka dhaca)

Then, no! They are going to know

أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِهَـٰدࣰا ﴿٦﴾

Miyaannaan Dhulka gogol ka yeelin

Have We not made the earth a resting place

وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادࣰا ﴿٧﴾

Buurahana Rukummo (ka yeelin)

And the mountains as stakes

وَخَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا ﴿٨﴾

Miyannaan idinka Abuurina Noocyo

And We created you in pairs

وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتࣰا ﴿٩﴾

Miyannaan Hurdada Raaxo idiinka dhigin

And made your sleep [a means for] rest

وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّیۡلَ لِبَاسࣰا ﴿١٠﴾

Miyaannaan Habeenka asturaal idiinka dhigin

And made the night as clothing

وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشࣰا ﴿١١﴾

Miyaannaan Maalinta waqti shaqo idiinka dhigin

And made the day for livelihood

وَبَنَیۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعࣰا شِدَادࣰا ﴿١٢﴾

Korkiinna miyaannaan ka dhisin Tooddoba xoog leh

And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجࣰا وَهَّاجࣰا ﴿١٣﴾

Miyaannaan dhexdeeda yeelin Sirraad aad u ifi (Qorraxda)

And made [therein] a burning lamp

وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَ ٰتِ مَاۤءࣰ ثَجَّاجࣰا ﴿١٤﴾

Waxaan idiinka soodajinnay daruuraha biyo badan

And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water

لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبࣰّا وَنَبَاتࣰا ﴿١٥﴾

Si aan ugu soo bixinno Midho iyo Daaq

That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation

وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلۡفَافًا ﴿١٦﴾

Iyo Beero kulansan (badan)

And gardens of entwined growth

إِنَّ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِیقَـٰتࣰا ﴿١٧﴾

Maalinta kalabuxu waxay leedahay waqtu go'an

Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time

یَوۡمَ یُنفَخُ فِی ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأۡتُونَ أَفۡوَاجࣰا ﴿١٨﴾

Waana Maalinta Suurka la afuufi ood u imanaysaan Kooxo

The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ فَكَانَتۡ أَبۡوَ ٰبࣰا ﴿١٩﴾

Samadana waa la furi waxayna yeelan Albaabo

And the heaven is opened and will become gateways

وَسُیِّرَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًا ﴿٢٠﴾

Buurahana waa la kaxayn waxayna noqon Dhalanteed

And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage

إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادࣰا ﴿٢١﴾

Naarta Jahannamana waxay u darbantahay

Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait

لِّلطَّـٰغِینَ مَءَابࣰا ﴿٢٢﴾

(Gaalada) Xadgudbay meelay u noqdaan

For the transgressors, a place of return

لَّـٰبِثِینَ فِیهَاۤ أَحۡقَابࣰا ﴿٢٣﴾

Waxayna ku nagaan Dhexdeeda Sanooyin

In which they will remain for ages [unending]

لَّا یَذُوقُونَ فِیهَا بَرۡدࣰا وَلَا شَرَابًا ﴿٢٤﴾

Mana ku dhadhamiyaan dhexdeeda qabaw (ama Hurdo) ama Cabbid midna

They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink

إِلَّا حَمِیمࣰا وَغَسَّاقࣰا ﴿٢٥﴾

Waxaan ahayn biyo kulul iyo Dhacaanka (ehlu Naarka)

Except scalding water and [foul] purulence

جَزَاۤءࣰ وِفَاقًا ﴿٢٦﴾

Waxaana lagu abaalmariyay si waafaqsan Camalkoodii

An appropriate recompense

إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ لَا یَرۡجُونَ حِسَابࣰا ﴿٢٧﴾

Waxayna ahaayeen kuwa aan ka yaabaynin xisaab

Indeed, they were not expecting an account

وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا كِذَّابࣰا ﴿٢٨﴾

Waxayna beeniyeen Aayaadkannaga

And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial

وَكُلَّ شَیۡءٍ أَحۡصَیۡنَـٰهُ كِتَـٰبࣰا ﴿٢٩﴾

Wax walbana waxaan ku koobnay Kitaab

But all things We have enumerated in writing

فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِیدَكُمۡ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ﴿٣٠﴾

Ee dhadhamiya Caddibaad Gaalooy waxaan caddibaad ahayn idiin kordhinmaynee

So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment

إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ مَفَازًا ﴿٣١﴾

Kuwa Eebe ka dhawrsada waxay leeyihiin liibaan

Indeed, for the righteous is attainment

حَدَاۤئِقَ وَأَعۡنَـٰبࣰا ﴿٣٢﴾

Beero iyo Cinabyana way heli

Gardens and grapevines

وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتۡرَابࣰا ﴿٣٣﴾

Waxayna Guursan Haween da'yar oo isle eg

And full-breasted [companions] of equal age

وَكَأۡسࣰا دِهَاقࣰا ﴿٣٤﴾

Waxayna heli Cabbid wanaagsan

And a full cup

لَّا یَسۡمَعُونَ فِیهَا لَغۡوࣰا وَلَا كِذَّ ٰبࣰا ﴿٣٥﴾

Jannada kuma dhexmaqlaan hadal macna la'aan ah iyo is beenin midna

No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood

جَزَاۤءࣰ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاۤءً حِسَابࣰا ﴿٣٦﴾

Waa abaalmarin Eebe uu siiyay oo ku filan

[As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account

رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِۖ لَا یَمۡلِكُونَ مِنۡهُ خِطَابࣰا ﴿٣٧﴾

Eebaha Samada iyo Dhulka iyo waxa u dhexeeya waa Allaha Raxmaan ah, Hadal wax ku soocelinna ma jiro (Qiyaamada)

[From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech

یَوۡمَ یَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰۤئِكَةُ صَفࣰّاۖ لَّا یَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابࣰا ﴿٣٨﴾

Maalinta Jibriil iyo Malaa'igtu Saf istaagi wax hadli ma jiro Ruux Eebe idmo mooyee oo Hadal xaq ah ku hadla

The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct

ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡیَوۡمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَمَن شَاۤءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَءَابًا ﴿٣٩﴾

Maalintaasi waa sugantahay ee Ruuxii doona Eebe xaggiisa meeluu ku noqdo ha ka samaysto

That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return

إِنَّاۤ أَنذَرۡنَـٰكُمۡ عَذَابࣰا قَرِیبࣰا یَوۡمَ یَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ یَدَاهُ وَیَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ یَـٰلَیۡتَنِی كُنتُ تُرَ ٰبَۢا ﴿٤٠﴾

Waxaannu idiinka digaynaa Cadibaad dhaw Maalinta uu arki Ruux walba waxay Gacmihiisu hor marsadeen, Gaalkuna uu dhihi Shallaytadaydee maan Carro noqdo

Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust
