Surah Al-Haaqqa سُورَةُ الحَاقَّةِ

۞ ٱلۡحَاۤقَّةُ ﴿١﴾

Maalinta Xaaqo (Qiyaamadu waa wax sugan)

The Inevitable Reality

مَا ٱلۡحَاۤقَّةُ ﴿٢﴾

Xaaqo maxay tahay

What is the Inevitable Reality

وَمَاۤ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحَاۤقَّةُ ﴿٣﴾

inaadan aqoon ma laga yaabaa xaaqada

And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ وَعَادُۢ بِٱلۡقَارِعَةِ ﴿٤﴾

Waxa beeniyeen Reer «Thamuud» iyo «Caadba» Qiyaamada

Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity

فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهۡلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِیَةِ ﴿٥﴾

Thamuudse waxaa lagu halligay Qaylo daran

So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]

وَأَمَّا عَادࣱ فَأُهۡلِكُوا۟ بِرِیحࣲ صَرۡصَرٍ عَاتِیَةࣲ ﴿٦﴾

Caadna waxaa lagu halligay Dabayl daran oo qabow

And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind

سَخَّرَهَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ سَبۡعَ لَیَالࣲ وَثَمَـٰنِیَةَ أَیَّامٍ حُسُومࣰاۖ فَتَرَى ٱلۡقَوۡمَ فِیهَا صَرۡعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٍ خَاوِیَةࣲ ﴿٧﴾

oo lagu diray korkooda Toddoba habeen iyo Siddeed Maalmood oo iraacsan, waxaadna arkaysaa iyagoo daadsan ood mooddo jirrid Timir (dogob dhacay)

Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees

فَهَلۡ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِیَةࣲ ﴿٨﴾

wax ka hadhay miyaad aragtaa

Then do you see of them any remains

وَجَاۤءَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَن قَبۡلَهُۥ وَٱلۡمُؤۡتَفِكَـٰتُ بِٱلۡخَاطِئَةِ ﴿٩﴾

Fircoon iyo kuwii ka horreeyeyna waa jireen iyo kuwii gafsanaa ee la daba geddiyey (Nabi Luudh Qoomkiisi)

And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin

فَعَصَوۡا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ أَخۡذَةࣰ رَّابِیَةً ﴿١٠﴾

Waxay Caasiyeen rusushii Eebahood Markaasuu si daran u qabtay

And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]

إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلۡمَاۤءُ حَمَلۡنَـٰكُمۡ فِی ٱلۡجَارِیَةِ ﴿١١﴾

Markay Biyihii xad dhaafeen (Waqtigii Nabi Nuux) waxaan idinku xambaarnay (Awoow yaalkiin) Doontii

Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship

لِنَجۡعَلَهَا لَكُمۡ تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَتَعِیَهَاۤ أُذُنࣱ وَ ٰعِیَةࣱ ﴿١٢﴾

si aan uga yeelno waano ay una xafiddo dhag wax maqasha

That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِی ٱلصُّورِ نَفۡخَةࣱ وَ ٰحِدَةࣱ ﴿١٣﴾

Marka Suurka la afuufo hal mar

Then when the Horn is blown with one blast

وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ ﴿١٤﴾

Dhulka iyo Buurahana la xambaaro oo la burburiyo hal mar

And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow

فَیَوۡمَئِذࣲ وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ﴿١٥﴾

Maalintaasay Qiyaamadu dhacaysaa

Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur

وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ فَهِیَ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ وَاهِیَةࣱ ﴿١٦﴾

Samaduna Maalintaas way dillaaci wayna tabar yaraan

And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm

وَٱلۡمَلَكُ عَلَىٰۤ أَرۡجَاۤئِهَاۚ وَیَحۡمِلُ عَرۡشَ رَبِّكَ فَوۡقَهُمۡ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ ثَمَـٰنِیَةࣱ ﴿١٧﴾

Malaa'igtuna Cirka gaararkiisa yey ahaan Maalintaas, Carshiga Eebana waxaa dadka korkiisa ku xambaari Maalintaas Siddeed Malag

And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]

یَوۡمَئِذࣲ تُعۡرَضُونَ لَا تَخۡفَىٰ مِنكُمۡ خَافِیَةࣱ ﴿١٨﴾

Maalintaasaa dadka loo soo bandhigi Eebe wax xagooda kaga qarsoonna ma jiro

That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed

فَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِیَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِیَمِینِهِۦ فَیَقُولُ هَاۤؤُمُ ٱقۡرَءُوا۟ كِتَـٰبِیَهۡ ﴿١٩﴾

Ruuxiise Kitaabkiisa midigta laga siiyo wuxuu dhihi (farax daraadiis) akhriya Kitaabkayga

So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record

إِنِّی ظَنَنتُ أَنِّی مُلَـٰقٍ حِسَابِیَهۡ ﴿٢٠﴾

Waxaan yaqiinsanaa (Adduunka) inaan la kulmi Xisaabtayda

Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account

فَهُوَ فِی عِیشَةࣲ رَّاضِیَةࣲ ﴿٢١﴾

wuxuu ruuxaasi ku noolaan nolol laga raalli yahay

So he will be in a pleasant life

فِی جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةࣲ ﴿٢٢﴾

Wuxuuna geli «Janno» sarreeysa

In an elevated garden

قُطُوفُهَا دَانِیَةࣱ ﴿٢٣﴾

Midhaheeduna u dhaw yihiin (Ruuxa guran)

Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشۡرَبُوا۟ هَنِیۤءَۢا بِمَاۤ أَسۡلَفۡتُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَیَّامِ ٱلۡخَالِیَةِ ﴿٢٤﴾

Waxaana lagu dhihi Cuna oo Caba idinkoo shifaysan Camalkaad hor marsateen ayaamihii tegay daraadiis (Adduunkii)

[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past

وَأَمَّا مَنۡ أُوتِیَ كِتَـٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَیَقُولُ یَـٰلَیۡتَنِی لَمۡ أُوتَ كِتَـٰبِیَهۡ ﴿٢٥﴾

Ruuxiise Kitaabkiisa laga siiyo Bidixda wuxuu dhahayaa Magacayba'ee maan la i siinin Kitaabkayga

But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

وَلَمۡ أَدۡرِ مَا حِسَابِیَهۡ ﴿٢٦﴾

Xisaabtaydana maanan ogaanin

And had not known what is my account

یَـٰلَیۡتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلۡقَاضِیَةَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Magaacayba'ee maxaan u soo noolaaday

I wish my death had been the decisive one

مَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنِّی مَالِیَهۡۜ ﴿٢٨﴾

Xoolahaygi wax iima tarin

My wealth has not availed me

هَلَكَ عَنِّی سُلۡطَـٰنِیَهۡ ﴿٢٩﴾

Waxaa lumay awooddaydii (iyo xujadaydii)

Gone from me is my authority

خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ ﴿٣٠﴾

Waxaa loo odhan qabta oo Gacmihiisa iyo luquntiisa isku xira

[Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him

ثُمَّ ٱلۡجَحِیمَ صَلُّوهُ ﴿٣١﴾

Naarta Jahannamada geliya

Then into Hellfire drive him

ثُمَّ فِی سِلۡسِلَةࣲ ذَرۡعُهَا سَبۡعُونَ ذِرَاعࣰا فَٱسۡلُكُوهُ ﴿٣٢﴾

Markaas geliya Silsilad Todobaatan dhudhun ah

Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ﴿٣٣﴾

maxaayeelay wuxuu ahaa kaan rumaynin Eebaha weyn

Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great

وَلَا یَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِینِ ﴿٣٤﴾

aana fari jirin in Masaakiinta wax la siiyo

Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor

فَلَیۡسَ لَهُ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ هَـٰهُنَا حَمِیمࣱ ﴿٣٥﴾

Maanta (Qiyaamada) kuma leh Saaxiib

So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend

وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنۡ غِسۡلِینࣲ ﴿٣٦﴾

Cuunana kuma leh aan ahayn dhaacaanka «Ehlu Naarka»

Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds

لَّا یَأۡكُلُهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡخَـٰطِءُونَ ﴿٣٧﴾

Cunnadaasna ma cuno kuwa gafay waxaan ahayn (Gaalada)

None will eat it except the sinners

فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَا تُبۡصِرُونَ ﴿٣٨﴾

Waxaan ku dhaaran waxaad aragtaan (Makhluuqaad ah)

So I swear by what you see

وَمَا لَا تُبۡصِرُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

iyo waxaydaan arkayninba

And what you do not see

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ﴿٤٠﴾

ee Qur'aanku waa hadalkii Eebe uu u soo dhiibay Rasuul Sharaf leh

[That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَاعِرࣲۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تُؤۡمِنُونَ ﴿٤١﴾

Hadal gabayaana ma aha, wax yar yaadse rumaynaysaan (Xaqa)

And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe

وَلَا بِقَوۡلِ كَاهِنࣲۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Hadal wax sheegana ma aha wax yar yaadse waantoomaysaan

Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember

تَنزِیلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٤٣﴾

(Qur'aanku) wuxuu ka soo degay Eebaha Caalamka

[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds

وَلَوۡ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَیۡنَا بَعۡضَ ٱلۡأَقَاوِیلِ ﴿٤٤﴾

Hadduu nagu been abuurto (Nabi Muxamed)

And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings

لَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُ بِٱلۡیَمِینِ ﴿٤٥﴾

Waxaanu ku qaban gacan adag

We would have seized him by the right hand

ثُمَّ لَقَطَعۡنَا مِنۡهُ ٱلۡوَتِینَ ﴿٤٦﴾

Waxaannu gooynaynaa Xididka Wadnaha

Then We would have cut from him the aorta

فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ عَنۡهُ حَـٰجِزِینَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Ruux idinka mid ah oo naga eelinnna ma jiro

And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذۡكِرَةࣱ لِّلۡمُتَّقِینَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Qur'aankuna waa waanada kuwa Eebe ka dhawrsada

And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous

وَإِنَّا لَنَعۡلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِینَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Waxaan ognahay inay idin ka mid yihiin kuwa beenin (Qur'aanka)

And indeed, We know that among you are deniers

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسۡرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ ﴿٥٠﴾

Qur'aanku waa qoomamada Gaalada (Maalinta Qiyaame)

And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلۡیَقِینِ ﴿٥١﴾

Qur'aanka waa run dhab ah

And indeed, it is the truth of certainty

فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ﴿٥٢﴾

Ee Nabiyow u tasbiixso Magaca Eebe ee weyn

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great
