Surah Luqman سُورَةُ لُقۡمَانَ

الۤمۤ ﴿١﴾

waxay ku tusin mucjisada Quraanka (sida soo hormartay)

Alif, Lam, Meem

تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ ٱلۡحَكِیمِ ﴿٢﴾

tan waa aayaadka Kitaabka (Quraanka) xigmada leh

These are verses of the wise Book

هُدࣰى وَرَحۡمَةࣰ لِّلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ﴿٣﴾

waana hanuunka iyo naxariista samalfalayaasha

As guidance and mercy for the doers of good

ٱلَّذِینَ یُقِیمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَیُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمۡ یُوقِنُونَ ﴿٤﴾

kuwa salaadda ooga, Zakadana bixiya, iyagoo aakhiro yaqiinsan

Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]

أُو۟لَـٰۤئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدࣰى مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰۤئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ ﴿٥﴾

kuwaasi waxay ku suganyihiin hanuun Eebe, kuwaasina waa kuwa liibaanay

Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن یَشۡتَرِی لَهۡوَ ٱلۡحَدِیثِ لِیُضِلَّ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲ وَیَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ مُّهِینࣱ ﴿٦﴾

Dadka waxaa ka mid ah kuwo gadan hadal wax shuqliya si uu uga dhumiyo (Dadka) Jidka Eebe iyagoon wax ogayn, Jidka Eebene ku Jees jeesa, kuwaasi waxay mudan Cadaab Dulleeya

And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡهِ ءَایَـٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسۡتَكۡبِرࣰا كَأَن لَّمۡ یَسۡمَعۡهَا كَأَنَّ فِیۤ أُذُنَیۡهِ وَقۡرࣰاۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِیمٍ ﴿٧﴾

marka lagu akhriyo aayadkanaga wuu jeedsadaa isagoo iskibrin, sidii isagoon maqal, oo dhagihiisu culusyihiin, ugu bishaaree Cadaab daran

And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتُ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ﴿٨﴾

kuwa rumeeyey (xaqa) camal wanaagsanna falay waxay mudan Janatu Naciima

Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure

خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۖ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقࣰّاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ﴿٩﴾

iyagoo ku waari dhexdeeda waana yabooh Eebe oo xaq ah, Eebana waa adkaade falsan

Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ بِغَیۡرِ عَمَدࣲ تَرَوۡنَهَاۖ وَأَلۡقَىٰ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَوَ ٰسِیَ أَن تَمِیدَ بِكُمۡ وَبَثَّ فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ دَاۤبَّةࣲۚ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ ﴿١٠﴾

isaga abuuray Samooyinka Tiir aad aragtaan la'aantiis, dhulkana wuxuu ku tuuray Buuro (suga) inayan dhaqdhaqaaqin, wuxuuna ku fidiyey dhexdiisa daabad kasta, Samadana waxaan ka soo dejinay Biyo, waxaana ku soo bixiney nooc kasta oo quruxsan

He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind

هَـٰذَا خَلۡقُ ٱللَّهِ فَأَرُونِی مَاذَا خَلَقَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن دُونِهِۦۚ بَلِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ﴿١١﴾

kaasi waa abuurkii Eebe, ee i tusiya waxay abuureen kuwa ka soo hadhay Eebe, saas ma aha, ee dulmi falayaashu waxay ku suganyihiin baadi Cad

This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا لُقۡمَـٰنَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِلَّهِۚ وَمَن یَشۡكُرۡ فَإِنَّمَا یَشۡكُرُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِیٌّ حَمِیدࣱ ﴿١٢﴾

dhab dhaan ayaan luqmaan u siinay Xigmad iyo inuu Eebe ku mahdiyo, ruuxii mahdiya wuxuu uun u mahdiyey naftiisa, ruuxii Gaaloobana Eebe waa ka kaaftoonyahay waana amaananyahay

And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy

وَإِذۡ قَالَ لُقۡمَـٰنُ لِٱبۡنِهِۦ وَهُوَ یَعِظُهُۥ یَـٰبُنَیَّ لَا تُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِیمࣱ ﴿١٣﴾

(xusuuso) markuu ku yidhi Luqmaan Wiilkiisa isagoo waanin Wiilkayow Eebe hawshariigyeelin, shirkigu waa dulmi weyne

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah. Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice

وَوَصَّیۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَ ٰلِدَیۡهِ حَمَلَتۡهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهۡنًا عَلَىٰ وَهۡنࣲ وَفِصَـٰلُهُۥ فِی عَامَیۡنِ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِی وَلِوَ ٰلِدَیۡكَ إِلَیَّ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ ﴿١٤﴾

waxaan u dardaaranay dadka labadiisii Waalid, way sidday Hooyadis iyadoo tabaryar tabar yari kalana ku sugan, Gudhidiisuna waa Labo sano ee ku mahadi ani iyo Labadaadii Waalid, xagaygaana loo ahaan

And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination

وَإِن جَـٰهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰۤ أَن تُشۡرِكَ بِی مَا لَیۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمࣱ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَاۖ وَصَاحِبۡهُمَا فِی ٱلدُّنۡیَا مَعۡرُوفࣰاۖ وَٱتَّبِعۡ سَبِیلَ مَنۡ أَنَابَ إِلَیَّۚ ثُمَّ إِلَیَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

hadday kugula dadaalaan (Labada waalid) inaad ii shariig yeesho (ila wadaajiso) waxaadan aqoon u lahayn ha ku adeecin kulana noolow adduunka si fiican, raacna Jidka kuwa ii noqda, xagayga yaa laydiin soo celin waxaana idiinka warami waxaad camalfali jirteen

But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do

یَـٰبُنَیَّ إِنَّهَاۤ إِن تَكُ مِثۡقَالَ حَبَّةࣲ مِّنۡ خَرۡدَلࣲ فَتَكُن فِی صَخۡرَةٍ أَوۡ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ أَوۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ یَأۡتِ بِهَا ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِیفٌ خَبِیرࣱ ﴿١٦﴾

Wiilkayow hadday xumaantu tahay Xabbad Khardal ah oo kale (wax yar) oo sallax dhexdii ku sugnaato ama samooyinka dhexdooda ama Dhulka dhexdiisa wuu keeni Eebe, Eebana waa oge xeeldheer

[And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted

یَـٰبُنَیَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأۡمُرۡ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَٱنۡهَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَاۤ أَصَابَكَۖ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ مِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ ﴿١٧﴾

Wiilkayow oog Salaadda, oo far waanaagga oo reeb waxa lanaco kuna Samir waxa ku gaadha, arrintaasu waxay ka midtahay umuuraha wanaagsane

O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination

وَلَا تُصَعِّرۡ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمۡشِ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مَرَحًاۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالࣲ فَخُورࣲ ﴿١٨﴾

hana ka jeedin Wajiga dadka hana ugu socon dhulka kibir, Eebana ma jeela mid kastoo isla weyn oo faanbadane

And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful

وَٱقۡصِدۡ فِی مَشۡیِكَ وَٱغۡضُضۡ مِن صَوۡتِكَۚ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ ٱلۡأَصۡوَ ٰتِ لَصَوۡتُ ٱلۡحَمِیرِ ﴿١٩﴾

socodkaagana ku dhexdhexayso, hoosna u dhig Codkaaga, Cod waxaa ugu xun Codka Dameerahee

And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys

أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَأَسۡبَغَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ نِعَمَهُۥ ظَـٰهِرَةࣰ وَبَاطِنَةࣰۗ وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن یُجَـٰدِلُ فِی ٱللَّهِ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲ وَلَا هُدࣰى وَلَا كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّنِیرࣲ ﴿٢٠﴾

miyeydaan arkayn in Eebe idiin sakhiray waxa Samooyinka iyo Dhulka ku sugan oo idin mid qarsoonba, Dadkana waxaa ka mid ah kuwo Eebe ku murmi Cilmi iyo hanuun iyo Kitaab nuuriya la'aantiis

Do you not see that Allah has made subject to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both] apparent and unapparent? But of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening Book [from Him]

وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدۡنَا عَلَیۡهِ ءَابَاۤءَنَاۤۚ أَوَ لَوۡ كَانَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ یَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِیرِ ﴿٢١﴾

marka loodhaho raaca waxa Eebe soo dajiyeyna waxay dhahaan waxaannu raaci waxaan ka helay Aabayaalkanno, haduu Shaydaan ugu yeedho Cadaabka Saciirana (miyey raaci)

And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze

۞ وَمَن یُسۡلِمۡ وَجۡهَهُۥۤ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحۡسِنࣱ فَقَدِ ٱسۡتَمۡسَكَ بِٱلۡعُرۡوَةِ ٱلۡوُثۡقَىٰۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡأُمُورِ ﴿٢٢﴾

ruuxii u jeediya Wajigiisa xagga Eebe isagoo samo fali wuxuu qabsaday guntin (Ballan adag), xagga Eebaana Cihdhibta arrimuhu u noqon

And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters

وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا یَحۡزُنكَ كُفۡرُهُۥۤۚ إِلَیۡنَا مَرۡجِعُهُمۡ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Ciddiise Gaalowda yuuna ku walbahaar galin Gaalimadiisu, xagganagay u soo noqon waxaana uga warramaynaa waxay camalfali jireen, illeen Eebaa og waxa laabta ku sugane

And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts

نُمَتِّعُهُمۡ قَلِیلࣰا ثُمَّ نَضۡطَرُّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِیظࣲ ﴿٢٤﴾

waanu u raaxayn wax yar, markaasaannu u dhibaatayn (u iili) Cadaab adag

We grant them enjoyment for a little; then We will force them to a massive punishment

وَلَئِن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ لَیَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۚ قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾

haddaad waydiisid yaa abuuray samooyinka iyo dhulka waay odhan ilaahay, waxaad dhahdaa mahad Eebaa iska leh, hadankoodse ma oga

And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah "; but most of them do not know

لِلَّهِ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ ٱلۡحَمِیدُ ﴿٢٦﴾

Eebaa iska leh waxa samooyinka iyo Dhulka ku sugan, Eebana waa hodan amaanan

To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy

وَلَوۡ أَنَّمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِن شَجَرَةٍ أَقۡلَـٰمࣱ وَٱلۡبَحۡرُ یَمُدُّهُۥ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡحُرࣲ مَّا نَفِدَتۡ كَلِمَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِیزٌ حَكِیمࣱ ﴿٢٧﴾

hadday waxa dhulka ku sugan oo geeda ah Qalimo noqdaan Badduna khadayso oo gadaasheeda Todobo badood yihiin madhamaateen Kalimooyinka Eebe, Eebana waa adkaade falsan

And if whatever trees upon the earth were pens and the sea [was ink], replenished thereafter by seven [more] seas, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise

مَّا خَلۡقُكُمۡ وَلَا بَعۡثُكُمۡ إِلَّا كَنَفۡسࣲ وَ ٰحِدَةٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِیعُۢ بَصِیرٌ ﴿٢٨﴾

abuurkiinna iyo soobixintiinu ma aha sida Nafkaliya mooyee (Fudaydka), Eebana waa maqle arke ah

Your creation and your resurrection will not be but as that of a single soul. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُولِجُ ٱلَّیۡلَ فِی ٱلنَّهَارِ وَیُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِی ٱلَّیۡلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلࣱّ یَجۡرِیۤ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّى وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ ﴿٢٩﴾

miyeydaan ogayn in Eebe Habeenka dhex galiyo Maalinta, Maalintana dhexgaliyo Habeenka sakhirayna Qoraxda iyo Dayaxa mid, kastana uu u socdo muddo magacaaban, Eebana waxaad Camalfalaysaan waa ogyahay

Do you not see that Allah causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term, and that Allah, with whatever you do, is Acquainted

ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا یَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلۡبَـٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡعَلِیُّ ٱلۡكَبِیرُ ﴿٣٠﴾

Taasna wa in Eebe xaq yahay waxay caabudi ee ka soohadhayna baadil yahay iyo in Eebe yahay Sareeye wayn

That is because Allah is the Truth, and that what they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Grand

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ تَجۡرِی فِی ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِنِعۡمَتِ ٱللَّهِ لِیُرِیَكُم مِّنۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارࣲ شَكُورࣲ ﴿٣١﴾

miyeydaan ogayn in Doontu dhexsocoto Badda Nicmada Eebe darteed si uu idiin tusiyo aayaadkiisa, arrintaasna aayaadbaa ugu sugan Samirbadane shugri badan oo dhan

Do you not see that ships sail through the sea by the favor of Allah that He may show you of His signs? Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful

وَإِذَا غَشِیَهُم مَّوۡجࣱ كَٱلظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِینَ لَهُ ٱلدِّینَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡبَرِّ فَمِنۡهُم مُّقۡتَصِدࣱۚ وَمَا یَجۡحَدُ بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤ إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارࣲ كَفُورࣲ ﴿٣٢﴾

marka hirku daboolo dadka oo Hoos la moodo waxay baryaan Eebe iyagoo u kali yeeli Diinta (Cibaadada) markuu u koriyo xagga Barrigana waxaa ka mid noqon Dadka mid dhexdexeysan, mana diido aayadkanaga mid khaa'in ah oo gaalimo badan mooyee

And when waves come over them like canopies, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, there are [some] of them who are moderate [in faith]. And none rejects Our signs except everyone treacherous and ungrateful

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ وَٱخۡشَوۡا۟ یَوۡمࣰا لَّا یَجۡزِی وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِۦ وَلَا مَوۡلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِۦ شَیۡءًاۚ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقࣱّۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَلَا یَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ﴿٣٣﴾

Dadow ka dhawrsada Eebihiin oo ka Cabsada Maalin uusan ka abaalmarinayn Waalid Ilmihiisa, Ilmuhuna Waalidka waxba, yabooha Eebana waa Xaq, ee yeyna idinku dhagrin nolosha adduunyo, yuuna idinku dhagrin Eebe dhagar badane (shaydaan)

O mankind, fear your Lord and fear a Day when no father will avail his son, nor will a son avail his father at all. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَیُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡغَیۡثَ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِۖ وَمَا تَدۡرِی نَفۡسࣱ مَّاذَا تَكۡسِبُ غَدࣰاۖ وَمَا تَدۡرِی نَفۡسُۢ بِأَیِّ أَرۡضࣲ تَمُوتُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِیمٌ خَبِیرُۢ ﴿٣٤﴾

Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted
