Surah Al-Qiyaama سُورَةُ القِيَامَةِ

۞ لَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِیَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ ﴿١﴾

Waxaan ku dharaan maalinta qiyaame

I swear by the Day of Resurrection

وَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ ﴿٢﴾

Waxaan ku dhaaran (oo kale) nafta Dagaasha (Saaxiibkeed) (Ee waa la idin soo bixin)

And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]

أَیَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجۡمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ ﴿٣﴾

Ma wuxuu u maleeyay Dadku inaanaan kulminhaynin lafihiisa

Does man think that We will not assemble his bones

بَلَىٰ قَـٰدِرِینَ عَلَىٰۤ أَن نُّسَوِّیَ بَنَانَهُۥ ﴿٤﴾

Saas ma aha ee waan karraa inaan sinno (soona Celinno) Farihiisa

Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips

بَلۡ یُرِیدُ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ لِیَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ ﴿٥﴾

Wuxuuse Dooni Dadku inay ka Gaaloobaan waxa ka horreeya

But man desires to continue in sin

یَسۡءَلُ أَیَّانَ یَوۡمُ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ ﴿٦﴾

Wuxuu waydiin waa Goorma Maalinta Qiyaame

He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection

فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ ﴿٧﴾

Markase Araggu Wareero (Taagmo)

So when vision is dazzled

وَخَسَفَ ٱلۡقَمَرُ ﴿٨﴾

Dayuxuna Madoobaado

And the moon darkens

وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ ﴿٩﴾

Lana Kulmiyo Qorraxd iyo Dayaxa

And the sun and the moon are joined

یَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ یَوۡمَئِذٍ أَیۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ ﴿١٠﴾

Wuxuu Dhihi Dadku Maalintaas xagee loo cararaa

Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape

كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ ﴿١١﴾

Saas ma aha ee ma jiro wax la magan Galo (Eebe Mooyee)

No! There is no refuge

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ یَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ ﴿١٢﴾

Xagga Eebahaa yaana Maalintaas loo ahaan

To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence

یُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ یَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ ﴿١٣﴾

Waxaa looga warrami dadka Maalintaas wuxuu hormarsaday iyo wuxuu Dibmarsaday

Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back

بَلِ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ بَصِیرَةࣱ ﴿١٤﴾

Ruux walbana Naftiisa isagaa ku maragfuri

Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness

وَلَوۡ أَلۡقَىٰ مَعَاذِیرَهُۥ ﴿١٥﴾

Si kasta Hadduu u cudurdaartana (wax uma tarto)

Even if he presents his excuses

لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦۤ ﴿١٦﴾

Ha Dhaqaajinin Nabiyow Carrabka inaad Quraanka ku Dagdagto (Akhriskiisa)

Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an

إِنَّ عَلَیۡنَا جَمۡعَهُۥ وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ ﴿١٧﴾

Annagaa Laabtaada ku kulmin kuuna Akhriyi

Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation

فَإِذَا قَرَأۡنَـٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعۡ قُرۡءَانَهُۥ ﴿١٨﴾

Ee Markaan akhrino Raac Akhriskiisa

So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَیۡنَا بَیَانَهُۥ ﴿١٩﴾

Annagaana isasaarray Cadaayntiisa

Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ ﴿٢٠﴾

saas ma aha Ee waxaad Jeceshihiin Dadow tan soo Dagdagaysa (Adduunyada)

No! But you love the immediate

وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةَ ﴿٢١﴾

Waxaadna ka tagaysaan aakhiro

And leave the Hereafter

وُجُوهࣱ یَوۡمَئِذࣲ نَّاضِرَةٌ ﴿٢٢﴾

Wajiyaal Maalintaas way ifi

[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant

إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةࣱ ﴿٢٣﴾

Eebeheedna way Eegi

Looking at their Lord

وَوُجُوهࣱ یَوۡمَئِذِۭ بَاسِرَةࣱ ﴿٢٤﴾

Wajiyaalna Maalintaas way kaduudsami

And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted

تَظُنُّ أَن یُفۡعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةࣱ ﴿٢٥﴾

Waxayna hubtaa in lugu fali Balaayo

Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking

كَلَّاۤ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِیَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Saas ma aha ee markay naftu gaadho Duunta (Waqtiga Geerida)

No! When the soul has reached the collar bones

وَقِیلَ مَنۡۜ رَاقࣲ ﴿٢٧﴾

Oo la Dhoho uaa ku tufi

And it is said, "Who will cure [him]

وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡفِرَاقُ ﴿٢٨﴾

Oo uu Yaqiinsado inuu Dhiman

And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation

وَٱلۡتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ ﴿٢٩﴾

Oo labada Dhudhun isku marmaan (sakaraad Dartiis)

And the leg is wound about the leg

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ یَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمَسَاقُ ﴿٣٠﴾

Eebahaa Xaggiisaa la aadi

To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession

فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ ﴿٣١﴾

Mase Rumaynin Gaalku Xaqa mana tukannin

And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed

وَلَـٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ﴿٣٢﴾

Laakiin wuu Beeniyay wuuna Jeedsaday

But [instead], he denied and turned away

ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰۤ أَهۡلِهِۦ یَتَمَطَّىٰۤ ﴿٣٣﴾

Wuxuuna aaday Ehelkiisii isagoo kibirsan

And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride]

أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰ ﴿٣٤﴾

Halaag Buuse Mutaa

Woe to you, and woe

ثُمَّ أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰۤ ﴿٣٥﴾

Haddana Halaagbuu Mutaa

Then woe to you, and woe

أَیَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَن یُتۡرَكَ سُدًى ﴿٣٦﴾

Ma wuxuu u maleeyay Dadku in looga tagi Bilaash (Dan la'aan)

Does man think that he will be left neglected

أَلَمۡ یَكُ نُطۡفَةࣰ مِّن مَّنِیࣲّ یُمۡنَىٰ ﴿٣٧﴾

Miyuusan ahayn Dhibic mani ah oo la Dhibciyo

Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةࣰ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٣٨﴾

Markaas Noqoto xinjir oo Eebe Abuuro Ekeeyana

Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]

فَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُ ٱلزَّوۡجَیۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۤ ﴿٣٩﴾

Kana yeelo Labadii Nooc lab iyo Dhaddig

And made of him two mates, the male and the female

أَلَیۡسَ ذَ ٰلِكَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰۤ أَن یُحۡـِۧیَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ ﴿٤٠﴾

Eebaha Saas kara miyuusan Awoodin inuu soo Nooleeyo wixii Dhintay

Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead
