Surah Al-Waaqia سُورَةُ الوَاقِعَةِ

۞ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ﴿١﴾

Markay Qiyaamadu dhacdo

When the Occurrence occurs

لَیۡسَ لِوَقۡعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ﴿٢﴾

Dhiciddaas wax beenin ma jiro (markay arkaan)

There is, at its occurrence, no denial

خَافِضَةࣱ رَّافِعَةٌ ﴿٣﴾

Waana (mid) hoos u dhiga kor u dhiga ah

It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ رَجࣰّا ﴿٤﴾

Marka la gilgilo Dhulka gilgilid

When the earth is shaken with convulsion

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ بَسࣰّا ﴿٥﴾

Buurahana la riqdo

And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

فَكَانَتۡ هَبَاۤءࣰ مُّنۢبَثࣰّا ﴿٦﴾

Oy noqoto boodh Firdhisan

And become dust dispersing

وَكُنتُمۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا ثَلَـٰثَةࣰ ﴿٧﴾

Ood ahaataan Saddex nooc, (markaasaa dadka la soo bixin)

And you become [of] three kinds

فَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ ﴿٨﴾

Kuwa midigta mari (waa Ehlu-Jannehee), ma taqaan kuwa midigta mari

Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ ﴿٩﴾

Iyo kuwa bidixda mari (waa ehluNaarkee) ma taqaan kuwa Bidixda mari

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left

وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ﴿١٠﴾

Iyo kuwii aad u hormaray

And the forerunners, the forerunners

أُو۟لَـٰۤئِكَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿١١﴾

Waa kuwa Eebe dhaweeyay

Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

فِی جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ﴿١٢﴾

Waxayna gali Jannooyin Nicma leh

In the Gardens of Pleasure

ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿١٣﴾

Waana Koox ka mid ah kuwii hore

A [large] company of the former peoples

وَقَلِیلࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ﴿١٤﴾

Iyo wax yar oo ka mid ah kuwii dambeeyay

And a few of the later peoples

عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مَّوۡضُونَةࣲ ﴿١٥﴾

Sariiro Dahab laga sameeyay yayna ku sugnaan

On thrones woven [with ornament]

مُّتَّكِءِینَ عَلَیۡهَا مُتَقَـٰبِلِینَ ﴿١٦﴾

Oy kuna dangiigsan korkeeda iyagoo is qaabili

Reclining on them, facing each other

یَطُوفُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَ ٰنࣱ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

Waxaa la dhex wareegi wiilal waari

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

بِأَكۡوَابࣲ وَأَبَارِیقَ وَكَأۡسࣲ مِّن مَّعِینࣲ ﴿١٨﴾

Koobab iyo kildhiyo iyo weel uu ka buuxo macaan socda

With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring

لَّا یُصَدَّعُونَ عَنۡهَا وَلَا یُنزِفُونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Madax xanuun iyo caqlitagid midna ma leh

No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated

وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ مِّمَّا یَتَخَیَّرُونَ ﴿٢٠﴾

Faakihaday «khudaartay» doonaanna way heli

And fruit of what they select

وَلَحۡمِ طَیۡرࣲ مِّمَّا یَشۡتَهُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Iyo Hilib Shimbir oo kay rabaan ah

And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire

وَحُورٌ عِینࣱ ﴿٢٢﴾

Iyo Haween Janno oo Indha cadcad

And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes

كَأَمۡثَـٰلِ ٱللُّؤۡلُؤِ ٱلۡمَكۡنُونِ ﴿٢٣﴾

Ood mooddo Jawhar la ilaaliyay

The likenesses of pearls well-protected

جَزَاۤءَۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿٢٤﴾

Waana abaalmarin waxay Camalfali jireen (oo wanaag ahaa)

As reward for what they used to do

لَا یَسۡمَعُونَ فِیهَا لَغۡوࣰا وَلَا تَأۡثِیمًا ﴿٢٥﴾

Kumana maqlaan Jannada hadal micno darra iyo dambi midna

They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin

إِلَّا قِیلࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا ﴿٢٦﴾

Waxayse ku Maqli Salaan (dhexdooda ah)

Only a saying: "Peace, peace

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ﴿٢٧﴾

Kuwa Midigta mari, Ma taqaan kuwa midigta

The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right

فِی سِدۡرࣲ مَّخۡضُودࣲ ﴿٢٨﴾

Waxay heli Geedka Sidriga ah oon Qodax lahayn

[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed

وَطَلۡحࣲ مَّنضُودࣲ ﴿٢٩﴾

Iyo Geedka Dhalxiga ah oo buuxa

And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]

وَظِلࣲّ مَّمۡدُودࣲ ﴿٣٠﴾

Iyo Hoos joogta ah

And shade extended

وَمَاۤءࣲ مَّسۡكُوبࣲ ﴿٣١﴾

Iyo Biyo socda (goor walba)

And water poured out

وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ كَثِیرَةࣲ ﴿٣٢﴾

Iyo Faakiha badan

And fruit, abundant [and varied]

لَّا مَقۡطُوعَةࣲ وَلَا مَمۡنُوعَةࣲ ﴿٣٣﴾

Oon la goynaynin lana reebaynin

Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden

وَفُرُشࣲ مَّرۡفُوعَةٍ ﴿٣٤﴾

Iyo Gogol la koryeelay

And [upon] beds raised high

إِنَّاۤ أَنشَأۡنَـٰهُنَّ إِنشَاۤءࣰ ﴿٣٥﴾

Annagaa ahaysiin (Da'yarayn Haweenka Jannada)

Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation

فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُنَّ أَبۡكَارًا ﴿٣٦﴾

Kana dhigi kuwa aan la taaban

And made them virgins

عُرُبًا أَتۡرَابࣰا ﴿٣٧﴾

Oy is jecelyihiin (Raggooda) simanna

Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age

لِّأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ﴿٣٨﴾

Liwa Midigta yaa muta (arrintaas)

For the companions of the right [who are]

ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿٣٩﴾

Waana Koox kuwii hore ka mid ah

A company of the former peoples

وَثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ﴿٤٠﴾

Iyo Koox kuwa dambe ka mid ah

And a company of the later peoples

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ﴿٤١﴾

Kuwa Bidixda mari, ma taqaan kuwa Bidixda

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left

فِی سَمُومࣲ وَحَمِیمࣲ ﴿٤٢﴾

Waxay ku sugnaan Naar daran iyo Biyo kulayl badan

[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

وَظِلࣲّ مِّن یَحۡمُومࣲ ﴿٤٣﴾

Iyo hoos madow oo wax guba

And a shade of black smoke

لَّا بَارِدࣲ وَلَا كَرِیمٍ ﴿٤٤﴾

Aan qaboobayn aragna fiicnayn

Neither cool nor beneficial

إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَبۡلَ ذَ ٰلِكَ مُتۡرَفِینَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Waxay ahaayeen arrintaas ka hor kuwo ku raaxaysta (Xumaanta)

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence

وَكَانُوا۟ یُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلۡحِنثِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ﴿٤٦﴾

Waxayna Daa'imi jireen dambi wayn

And they used to persist in the great violation

وَكَانُوا۟ یَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Waxayna dhihi jireen ma markaan dhimanno oon Lafo iyo Carro noqonnaa lana soo bixin

And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected

أَوَ ءَابَاۤؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Ama Aabayaalkannagii horeeyay

And our forefathers [as well]

قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ وَٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Waxaad dhahdaa kuwii horeeyay iyo kuwii dambeeyayba

Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

لَمَجۡمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِیقَـٰتِ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ﴿٥٠﴾

Waxaa loo soo kulmin Maalin la yaqaan (Qiyaamo)

Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿٥١﴾

Markaas Baadiyaalyahow Beeniyayaasha ah

Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers

لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرࣲ مِّن زَقُّومࣲ ﴿٥٢﴾

Waxaad wax ka cunaysaan Geed xun

Will be eating from trees of zaqqum

فَمَالِءُونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Aad kana buuxinaysaan Caloosha

And filling with it your bellies

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ عَلَیۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَمِیمِ ﴿٥٤﴾

Waxaadna ku cabbaysaan Biyo kulayl badan

And drinking on top of it from scalding water

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ شُرۡبَ ٱلۡهِیمِ ﴿٥٥﴾

Waxaadna u cabbaysaan sida Geel aad u ooman

And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels

هَـٰذَا نُزُلُهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ﴿٥٦﴾

Kaasina waa waxa lagu soori (Gaalada) Maalinta abaalmarinta (Qiyamada)

That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense

نَحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ فَلَوۡلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ﴿٥٧﴾

(Eebe wuxuu yidhi) Annagaa idin abuurraye maxaad la rumaynwaydeen (soo bixinta)

We have created you, so why do you not believe

أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تُمۡنُونَ ﴿٥٨﴾

Ka warrama Dhibicda aad tuuraysan «Manida»

Have you seen that which you emit

ءَأَنتُمۡ تَخۡلُقُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِقُونَ ﴿٥٩﴾

Ma idinkaa abuura mase Annagaa abuurra

Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator

نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَیۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِینَ ﴿٦٠﴾

Annaaa idinku eheynay Geerida, Ruux naga fakanna ma jiro

We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone

عَلَىٰۤ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمۡثَـٰلَكُمۡ وَنُنشِئَكُمۡ فِی مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿٦١﴾

Inaan idinku baddallo kuwo idin la mid ah oon idinka ahaysiinno waxaydaan aqoon

In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know

وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٦٢﴾

Dhabahaanbaad u ogtihiin abuuriddii hore, maad wax xusuusataan

And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember

أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ ﴿٦٣﴾

Ka warrama waxaad beereysaan

And have you seen that [seed] which you sow

ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّ ٰرِعُونَ ﴿٦٤﴾

Ma idinkaa soo dhaliya mase Annagaa soo dhalinna

Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower

لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ حُطَـٰمࣰا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ ﴿٦٥﴾

Haddaan doonno waxaan ka dhigaynaa burbur (aan wax tarin) markaasaad yaabaysaan (murugoonaysaan)

If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder

إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾

(Idinkoo dhihi) Waa nala khasaariyay

[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt

بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ ﴿٦٧﴾

Mase waa nala hoojiyay

Rather, we have been deprived

أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَاۤءَ ٱلَّذِی تَشۡرَبُونَ ﴿٦٨﴾

Ka warrama Biyahaad cabbaysaan

And have you seen the water that you drink

ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنزَلۡتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُزۡنِ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنزِلُونَ ﴿٦٩﴾

Ma idinkaa ka soo dajiyay Daruurta mase annakaa soo dajinnay

Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down

لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهُ أُجَاجࣰا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُونَ ﴿٧٠﴾

Haddaan doonno waxaan ka yeelaynaa khadhaadh (aan la hollin karin) ee maad ku mahadisaan (Eebe)

If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful

أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِی تُورُونَ ﴿٧١﴾

Ka warrama Dabkaad Madagta ka shiddaan

And have you seen the fire that you ignite

ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنشَأۡتُمۡ شَجَرَتَهَاۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنشِءُونَ ﴿٧٢﴾

Ma idinkaa ahaysiiyay Geedkeeda mase annagaa ahaysiinnay

Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer

نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَمَتَـٰعࣰا لِّلۡمُقۡوِینَ ﴿٧٣﴾

Annagaa ka dhignay Dabka waano iyo nacfiga kuwa Safarka ah (iyo cidlada)

We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers

فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ﴿٧٤﴾

Ee waynee oo u Tasbiixso Magaca Eebaha wayn

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great

۞ فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَوَ ٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴿٧٥﴾

(Eebe wuxuu yidhi) Waxaan ku dhaartay halkay Xiddiguhu ku dhacaan (ku qarsoomaan)

Then I swear by the setting of the stars

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمࣱ لَّوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عَظِیمٌ ﴿٧٦﴾

Waana dhaar wayn haddaad ogtihiine

And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great

إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرۡءَانࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ﴿٧٧﴾

Quraanku waa shay sharaf leh

Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an

فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مَّكۡنُونࣲ ﴿٧٨﴾

Wuxuuna ku suganyahay Kitaab la dhawray

In a Register well-protected

لَّا یَمَسُّهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ ﴿٧٩﴾

Mana taabto Ruuxan Daahir ahayn

None touch it except the purified

تَنزِیلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٨٠﴾

Waxaana soo dajiyay Eebaha Caalamka

[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds

أَفَبِهَـٰذَا ٱلۡحَدِیثِ أَنتُم مُّدۡهِنُونَ ﴿٨١﴾

Ee ma Quraankan yaad beeninaysaan

Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent

وَتَجۡعَلُونَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿٨٢﴾

Ood ka yeeleysaan (mahaddii) Riqigiinna beenin (Xaqa)

And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]

فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ ﴿٨٣﴾

Maxaydaan markay Naftu dhuunta gaadho

Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat

وَأَنتُمۡ حِینَئِذࣲ تَنظُرُونَ ﴿٨٤﴾

Idinkuna aad fiirinaysaan (Ruuxa dhiman)

And you are at that time looking on

وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَیۡهِ مِنكُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تُبۡصِرُونَ ﴿٨٥﴾

Annaguna aan idiinka dhawnahay, Laakiinse aydaan arkaynin

And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see

فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ غَیۡرَ مَدِینِینَ ﴿٨٦﴾

Haddaad tihiin kuwa aan la soo bixinaynin

Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed

تَرۡجِعُونَهَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ﴿٨٧﴾

Maad Nafta ku celisaan, haddaad Run sheegaysaan

Bring it back, if you should be truthful

فَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ ﴿٨٨﴾

Hadduu ka mid yahay (Ruuxa dhiman) kuwa Eebe dhaweeyay

And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah

فَرَوۡحࣱ وَرَیۡحَانࣱ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِیمࣲ ﴿٨٩﴾

Wuxuu heli naxariis iyo farax iyoJannada Naciima

Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure

وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ﴿٩٠﴾

Hadduu yahay kuwa Midigta marina

And if he was of the companions of the right

فَسَلَـٰمࣱ لَّكَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ﴿٩١﴾

Nabadgalyaa u sugnaatay (iyo wanaag)

Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right

وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ﴿٩٢﴾

Hadduu yahay kuwa xaqa beeniyay ee dhumayna

But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray

فَنُزُلࣱ مِّنۡ حَمِیمࣲ ﴿٩٣﴾

Wuxuu heli martiqaad iyo kulaylbadan

Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water

وَتَصۡلِیَةُ جَحِیمٍ ﴿٩٤﴾

Iyo galidda Naarta Jaxiimo

And burning in Hellfire

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلۡیَقِینِ ﴿٩٥﴾

Waxaad (la soo sheegay) waa run dhab ah

Indeed, this is the true certainty

فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ﴿٩٦﴾

Ee tasbiixso Magaca Eebaha wayn

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great
