Surah Ash-Shu'araa سُورَةُ الشُّعَرَاءِ

۞ طسۤمۤ ﴿١﴾

Waxay ku Tusin Mucjisada Quraanka sida soo Hor martay

Ta, Seen, Meem

تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِینِ ﴿٢﴾

Taasi waa Aayadihii Kitaabka Cad

These are the verses of the clear Book

لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعࣱ نَّفۡسَكَ أَلَّا یَكُونُوا۟ مُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿٣﴾

Waxaadna u Dhawdahay Nabiyow inaad Halaagto Naftaada Haddayna Rumayn Xaqa

Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers

إِن نَّشَأۡ نُنَزِّلۡ عَلَیۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ءَایَةࣰ فَظَلَّتۡ أَعۡنَـٰقُهُمۡ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِینَ ﴿٤﴾

Haddaan Doono Waxaan kaga soo Dejinaynaa Korkooda Samada Aayad oy Noqoto Luquntoodu Miday u Khushuucdo

If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled

وَمَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن ذِكۡرࣲ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ مُحۡدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضِینَ ﴿٥﴾

Waxkasta oo Quraana oo Uga Yimaadda Xagga Eebaha Raxmaana oo soo Darriyo (Cusboonaada) waxay ahaan kuwo ka Jeedsada

And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it

فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَیَأۡتِیهِمۡ أَنۢبَـٰۤؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ﴿٦﴾

Waxayna Beeniyeen (Xaqa) waxaase u Imaan Warka waxay ku Jees Jeesayeen

For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule

أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَمۡ أَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ ﴿٧﴾

Miyeyna Arkayn Dhulka Inaan ka soo Bixinno Nooc kasta oo Fiican

Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿٨﴾

Taasna waxaa ku sugan Aayad Badankooduna ma aha Mid Rumeyn (Xaqa)

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿٩﴾

Eebahaana Waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

وَإِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنِ ٱئۡتِ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ﴿١٠﴾

(Xusuuso) markuu ugu Yeedhay Eebahaa (Nabi) Muuse inuu Aado Qoomka Daalimiinta ah

And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people

قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ أَلَا یَتَّقُونَ ﴿١١﴾

Qoomka Fircoon, Maydhawrsadaan

The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ أَن یُكَذِّبُونِ ﴿١٢﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi (Nabi) Muuse Eebow waxaan ka Cabsan inay I beeniyaan

He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me

وَیَضِیقُ صَدۡرِی وَلَا یَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِی فَأَرۡسِلۡ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ ﴿١٣﴾

Ooy Cidhiidhyanto Laabtaydu Siina Daysmin Carrabkaygu ee Dir la Jirkayga Haaruun

And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron

وَلَهُمۡ عَلَیَّ ذَنۢبࣱ فَأَخَافُ أَن یَقۡتُلُونِ ﴿١٤﴾

Waxayna igu Leeyihiin Dambi (Godob) waxaana ka Cabsan inay I dilaan

And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me

قَالَ كَلَّاۖ فَٱذۡهَبَا بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسۡتَمِعُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Ilaahay saas ma aha ee La aada Aayaadkanaga, Anagaa Idinla Jirra Maqlina

[Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening

فَأۡتِیَا فِرۡعَوۡنَ فَقُولَاۤ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٦﴾

ee u Taga Firecoon una Dhaha Annagu waxaan Nahay Rasuulka Eebaha Caalamka

Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds

أَنۡ أَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ﴿١٧﴾

Ee Dir «u Ogolow» Banii Israa'iil la jirkannaga

[Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel

قَالَ أَلَمۡ نُرَبِّكَ فِینَا وَلِیدࣰا وَلَبِثۡتَ فِینَا مِنۡ عُمُرِكَ سِنِینَ ﴿١٨﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi (Firecoon) Miyaanaan kugu Barbaarinin Dhexdanada Adoo Yar oodan ku Nagaanin Dhexdanada Cimrigaaga Sanooyin

[Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life

وَفَعَلۡتَ فَعۡلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِی فَعَلۡتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ ﴿١٩﴾

Ood Fashay Arrintaad Fashay Adoo Diidan (Sama Falkii)

And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful

قَالَ فَعَلۡتُهَاۤ إِذࣰا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ﴿٢٠﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi (Nabi) Muuse waan Falay Anoon Wax kasayn

[Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray

فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِی رَبِّی حُكۡمࣰا وَجَعَلَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ﴿٢١﴾

Waana Idinka Cararay Markaan Idinka Cabsaday Markaasuu Eebe I siiyey Nabinimo, Igana Yeelay kuwa La Diray (Rasuul)

So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers

وَتِلۡكَ نِعۡمَةࣱ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَیَّ أَنۡ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ﴿٢٢﴾

Taasise ma Nicma aad igu Mannaysanbaa Haddaad Addoonsatay Banii Israa'iil

And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel

قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٢٣﴾

Fircoon wuxuun Yidhi waa maxay Eebaha Caalamka

Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِینَ ﴿٢٤﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi (Nabi) Muuse waa Eebaha Samooyinka iyo Waxa u Dhaxeeya haddaad wax Yaqiinsanaysaan (Rumaynaysaan)

[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced

قَالَ لِمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥۤ أَلَا تَسۡتَمِعُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾

Wuxuu ku Yidhi (Fircoon) kuwii Gaararkiisa ahaa War ma Maqlaysaan

[Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear

قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَاۤئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿٢٦﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Nabi Muuse waa Eebihiin iyo Eebaha Aabayaalkiinii Hore

[Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِیۤ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَیۡكُمۡ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ ﴿٢٧﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Fircoon Rasuulkiinna laydiin soo diray waa Waalanyahay

[Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Nabi Muuse waa Eebaha Bari iyo Galbeed iyo Waxa u Dhaxeeya Haddaad wax kasaysaan

[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason

قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذۡتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَیۡرِی لَأَجۡعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجُونِینَ ﴿٢٩﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Fircoon haddaad Yeelato Ilaah iga soo Hadhay waxaan kaa Yeeli kuwa Xabbisan

[Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned

قَالَ أَوَ لَوۡ جِئۡتُكَ بِشَیۡءࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ﴿٣٠﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Nabi Muuse Haddaan kuula Imaaddo wax Cadna

[Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest

قَالَ فَأۡتِ بِهِۦۤ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ﴿٣١﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Fircoon la Imow Haddaad Run Sheegi

[Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful

فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِیَ ثُعۡبَانࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ﴿٣٢﴾

Markaasuu Tuuray Nabi Muuse Ushiishii waxayna Noqotay Mas Muuqda

So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest

وَنَزَعَ یَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِیَ بَیۡضَاۤءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ ﴿٣٣﴾

Wuxuuna Siibay Gacantiisa waxayna ahaatay mid u Cad Dadka Dayi

And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers

قَالَ لِلۡمَلَإِ حَوۡلَهُۥۤ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِیمࣱ ﴿٣٤﴾

Wuxuu ku yidhi (Fircoon) kuwii Gaararkiisa ahaa kani waa Sixirre Xeel Dheer

[Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician

یُرِیدُ أَن یُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُم بِسِحۡرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Doonina Inuu Idinkaga Bixiyo Dhulkiinna Sixirkiisa ee Maxaad Faraysaan

He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise

قَالُوۤا۟ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِی ٱلۡمَدَاۤئِنِ حَـٰشِرِینَ ﴿٣٦﴾

Waxay Dheheen Dib u Dhig Isaga iyo Walaalkiis (Xaalkooda) una Dir Magaalooyinka kuwo soo Kulmiya

They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers

یَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِیمࣲ ﴿٣٧﴾

Ha kuu Keeneen Sixirre kasta oo Xeel Dheer

Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician

فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِیقَـٰتِ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ﴿٣٨﴾

Waxaana Loo kulmiyey Saaxiriintii Imaatin Maalin la Yaqaan

So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day

وَقِیلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّجۡتَمِعُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

Waxaana Loo Yidhi Dadkii ma Kulmaysaan

And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبِینَ ﴿٤٠﴾

Inaan Raacno Saaxiriinta Hadday Adkaadaan

That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبِینَ ﴿٤١﴾

Markay Yimaaddeen Saaxiriintii waxay ku Dheheen Fircoon Ujuuro ma Leenahay haddaan Adkaanno

And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant

قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ إِذࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ ﴿٤٢﴾

Wuxuuna Yidhi haa Waxaadna Noqonaysaan kuwa ii dhow

He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰۤ أَلۡقُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنتُم مُّلۡقُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾

Wuxuu ku Yidhi (Nabi) Muuse Tuura waxaad Tuuraysaan

Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw

فَأَلۡقَوۡا۟ حِبَالَهُمۡ وَعِصِیَّهُمۡ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾

Waxayna Tuureen Xadhkahoodii iyo Ulahoodii waxayna Dheheen Sharafta Fircoon yaan ku dhaarannaye Anagaa adkaan

So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant

فَأَلۡقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِیَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا یَأۡفِكُونَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Markaasuu Tuuray (Nabi) Muuse Ushiisii waxayna Ahaatay mid Gurata waxay Dhoodhoobeen

Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified

فَأُلۡقِیَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِینَ ﴿٤٦﴾

waxaana la Riday Saaxiriintii Sujuud Darteed

So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah]

قَالُوۤا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Waxayna Dheheen waxaan Rumaynay Eebaha Caalamka

They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Eebaha (Nabi) Muuse iyo (Nabi) Haaruun

The Lord of Moses and Aaron

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِیرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِی عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَ فَلَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَیۡدِیَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَـٰفࣲ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Wuxuu yidhi Fircoon Miyaad Rumeyseen Muuse ka Hor Idankayga, Isagu waa kan idiinku wayn ee idin Baray Sixirka waadse Ogaan doontaan, waxaana u Goyn Gacmahiinna iyo Lugahiinna Isdhaaf, waana idin Wadhi Dhammaantiin

[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all

قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَیۡرَۖ إِنَّاۤ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾

Waxayna dhaheen Dhib ma leh annagu Xagga Eebahannaan u Noqonaynaa

They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return

إِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ أَن یَغۡفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰیَـٰنَاۤ أَن كُنَّاۤ أَوَّلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿٥١﴾

waxaana Dalbaynaa (Damcaynaa) inuu noo Dhaafo Eebahanno Gafafkanaga Inaan Noqonay kuwii ugu Hor Rumeeyey (Xaqa)

Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers

۞ وَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنۡ أَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِیۤ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ﴿٥٢﴾

Waxaan u waxyoonay Nabi Muuse Guuri Addoomadayda waa Laydin Raaciye

And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued

فَأَرۡسَلَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِی ٱلۡمَدَاۤئِنِ حَـٰشِرِینَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Markaasuu u Diray Fircoon magaalooyinka kuwo Soo kulmiya

Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers

إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ لَشِرۡذِمَةࣱ قَلِیلُونَ ﴿٥٤﴾

Isagoo dhihi Kuwaasu «Banii Israa'iil» waa Koox Yar

[And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band

وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَنَا لَغَاۤئِظُونَ ﴿٥٥﴾

Wayna Na cadho Galiyeen

And indeed, they are enraging us

وَإِنَّا لَجَمِیعٌ حَـٰذِرُونَ ﴿٥٦﴾

Waxaana nahay kuwo Had iyo Jeer Digtoon

And indeed, we are a cautious society

فَأَخۡرَجۡنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ﴿٥٧﴾

Waxaana ka Bixinnay Beero iyo (Biyo) ilo

So We removed them from gardens and springs

وَكُنُوزࣲ وَمَقَامࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ﴿٥٨﴾

Iyo Kanziyo iyo Nagaadi Fiican

And treasures and honorable station

كَذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَـٰهَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ﴿٥٩﴾

Waxaana Dhaxalsiinay Banii Israa'iil

Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel

فَأَتۡبَعُوهُم مُّشۡرِقِینَ ﴿٦٠﴾

Markaasay Raacen (ka daba Duulcen) Qorrax soo Bixii

So they pursued them at sunrise

فَلَمَّا تَرَ ٰۤءَا ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ قَالَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰۤ إِنَّا لَمُدۡرَكُونَ ﴿٦١﴾

Markay isu Muuqdeen Labadii Kooxood waxay Dheheen Asaxaabtii Nabi Muuse Inaga waa Layna Haleelay

And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken

قَالَ كَلَّاۤۖ إِنَّ مَعِیَ رَبِّی سَیَهۡدِینِ ﴿٦٢﴾

Wuxuuna Yidhi (Nabi) Muuse Saas ma aha ee Eebahaybaa Ila jira wuuna i Toosin

[Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me

فَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقࣲ كَٱلطَّوۡدِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ﴿٦٣﴾

Waxaana u Waxyoonay (Nabi) Muuse ku Garaac Ushaada Badda wayna kala Jeexantay Baddii wuxuuna Noqday Jeex kasta Buur wayn oo kale

Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain

وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا ثَمَّ ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ﴿٦٤﴾

Waana ku soo Dhawayanay Halkaas kuwii kale (Colkii Fircoon)

And We advanced thereto the pursuers

وَأَنجَیۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ﴿٦٥﴾

Waxaana Korinay (Nabi) Muuse iyo Intii la Jirtay Dhammaan

And We saved Moses and those with him, all together

ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ﴿٦٦﴾

Ka dibna waxaan Maanshaynay Kuwii kale

Then We drowned the others

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿٦٧﴾

Arrintaasna waxaa ku Sugan Aayad Mana aha Badankood kuwo Rumeeyn

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿٦٨﴾

Eebahaana waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

وَٱتۡلُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ﴿٦٩﴾

Ku Akhri Korkooda Warkii Nabi Ibraahim

And recite to them the news of Abraham

إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِیهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ ﴿٧٠﴾

Markuu ku Yidhi Aabihiis iyo Qoomkiisii maxaad Caabudaysaan

When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship

قَالُوا۟ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامࣰا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِینَ ﴿٧١﴾

Waxay Dheheen waxaannu Caabudi Sanamyo oonu ahaan kuwo ku Nagaada

They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted

قَالَ هَلۡ یَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ إِذۡ تَدۡعُونَ ﴿٧٢﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi (Nabi Ibraahim) Maydin Maqlayaan markaad Baryeysaan

He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate

أَوۡ یَنفَعُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ یَضُرُّونَ ﴿٧٣﴾

Mase idin Anfaci ama idin Dhibi

Or do they benefit you, or do they harm

قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَاۤ ءَابَاۤءَنَا كَذَ ٰلِكَ یَفۡعَلُونَ ﴿٧٤﴾

Waxay Dheheen waxaan Hellay Aabayaalkanno oo Sidaas Fali

They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus

قَالَ أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ ﴿٧٥﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Bal Warrama waxaad Caabudaysaan

He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping

أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَاۤؤُكُمُ ٱلۡأَقۡدَمُونَ ﴿٧٦﴾

Idinka iyo Aabayaalkiinii Horeeyey

You and your ancient forefathers

فَإِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوࣱّ لِّیۤ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٧٧﴾

Hadday Iyagu Col ii Yihiin Eebaha Caalamka Mooyee

Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds

ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَنِی فَهُوَ یَهۡدِینِ ﴿٧٨﴾

Ee Eebaha I Abuuray ee ah kan I Hanuunin

Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me

وَٱلَّذِی هُوَ یُطۡعِمُنِی وَیَسۡقِینِ ﴿٧٩﴾

Kan I Quudin ee I Waraabin

And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink

وَإِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ یَشۡفِینِ ﴿٨٠﴾

Markaan Bukoodana Isagaa I Caafiya

And when I am ill, it is He who cures me

وَٱلَّذِی یُمِیتُنِی ثُمَّ یُحۡیِینِ ﴿٨١﴾

Waana kan I dili Ina Noolayn

And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life

وَٱلَّذِیۤ أَطۡمَعُ أَن یَغۡفِرَ لِی خَطِیۤءَتِی یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ﴿٨٢﴾

Ee ah kaan Damci inuu Ii Dhaafo Gafafkayga Maalinta Abaal marinta

And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense

رَبِّ هَبۡ لِی حُكۡمࣰا وَأَلۡحِقۡنِی بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ﴿٨٣﴾

Eebow i Sii Xikmo (Nabinimo) Ina Haleeshii kuwa Suuban

[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous

وَٱجۡعَل لِّی لِسَانَ صِدۡقࣲ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ﴿٨٤﴾

Iina Yeel Sheegid Run ah (Fiican) kuwa Dambe

And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations

وَٱجۡعَلۡنِی مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ﴿٨٥﴾

Igana yeel kuwa Dhaxli Janada Naciimo

And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure

وَٱغۡفِرۡ لِأَبِیۤ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ﴿٨٦﴾

Una Dambi Dhaaf Aabahay wuxuu ka Mid ahaa kuwa Dhumaye

And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray

وَلَا تُخۡزِنِی یَوۡمَ یُبۡعَثُونَ ﴿٨٧﴾

Hana i Dullayn Maalinta la Soo Bixin (Dadka)

And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected

یَوۡمَ لَا یَنفَعُ مَالࣱ وَلَا بَنُونَ ﴿٨٨﴾

Maalintayna wax Anfacayn Xoolo iyo Ilmo midna

The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children

إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبࣲ سَلِیمࣲ ﴿٨٩﴾

Ruux ula Yimaadda Eebe Qalbi Fayow Mooyee (Iimaan)

But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart

وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ ﴿٩٠﴾

Waana loo Dhawayn Jannada kuwa Dhawrsada (Mu'miniinta Dhabta ah)

And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِیمُ لِلۡغَاوِینَ ﴿٩١﴾

Waana Loo Muujin Jaxiimo kuwa Baadiyoobay

And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators

وَقِیلَ لَهُمۡ أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ ﴿٩٢﴾

Waxaana Lagu Dhihi Aaway waxaad Caabudayseen

And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلۡ یَنصُرُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ یَنتَصِرُونَ ﴿٩٣﴾

Oo Eebe ka soo Hadhay Maydiin Gargaarayaan ama Gargaarsanayaan

Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves

فَكُبۡكِبُوا۟ فِیهَا هُمۡ وَٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ ﴿٩٤﴾

Waana lagu Hambooriyey (Tuuri) Dhexdeeda iyaga iyo kuwa Baadiyoobay

So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators

وَجُنُودُ إِبۡلِیسَ أَجۡمَعُونَ ﴿٩٥﴾

Iyo Junuudda (Askarta) Ibliis Dhamaan

And the soldiers of Iblees, all together

قَالُوا۟ وَهُمۡ فِیهَا یَخۡتَصِمُونَ ﴿٩٦﴾

Waxayna obhan iyagoo Dhexdeeda ku doodi

They will say while they dispute therein

تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ ﴿٩٧﴾

Eebaan ku Dhaaranaye waxaan ku Sugnayn Baadi Cad

By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error

إِذۡ نُسَوِّیكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٩٨﴾

Markaan Idilla Sinay Eebaha Caalamka

When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds

وَمَاۤ أَضَلَّنَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ﴿٩٩﴾

Wax na Dhumiyey oon Dambiila Yaasha ahayn ma Jiro

And no one misguided us except the criminals

فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِینَ ﴿١٠٠﴾

Mana Lihin wax Noo Shafeeca

So now we have no intercessors

وَلَا صَدِیقٍ حَمِیمࣲ ﴿١٠١﴾

Iyo Saaxiib Dhaw

And not a devoted friend

فَلَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةࣰ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٠٢﴾

Ee hadaan Noqonno oon Ahaanno Mu'miniin

Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٠٣﴾

Taas waxaa ku Sugan Calaamad Badankoodna ma Rumeeyo (Xaqa)

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿١٠٤﴾

Eebahaana waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ﴿١٠٥﴾

Waxay Beeniyeen Qoomkii (Nabi) Nuux Rasuulladii

The people of Noah denied the messengers

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٠٦﴾

Markuu ku Yiidhi Walaalkood Nuux Miyeydaan Dhawrsanayn

When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah

إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ﴿١٠٧﴾

Anigu waxaan idiin ahay Rasuul Aamin ah

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١٠٨﴾

Ee ka Dhawrsada Eebe ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٠٩﴾

Idinkana Warsanmaayo (Xaqa) Ujuuro, Ajrigayga Eebaha Caalamkaan ka Sugi

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١١٠﴾

Ee Eebe ka Dhawrsada ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

۞ قَالُوۤا۟ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلۡأَرۡذَلُونَ ﴿١١١﴾

Waxay Dheheen ma waxaanu ku Rumayn adooy ku Raaceen kuwa Dullaysan (Xun Xun)

They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]

قَالَ وَمَا عِلۡمِی بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿١١٢﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Maxaan ka Ogahay Waxay Fali

He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do

إِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّیۖ لَوۡ تَشۡعُرُونَ ﴿١١٣﴾

Xisaabtooda Eebe unbaa leh haddaad wax Garanaysaan

Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive

وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١١٤﴾

Anuguna ma Eryayo Mu'miniinta

And I am not one to drive away the believers

إِنۡ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ﴿١١٥﴾

Waxaan u Dige Cad ahayna ma ihi

I am only a clear warner

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ یَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَرۡجُومِینَ ﴿١١٦﴾

Waxay Dheheen Haddaadan Joogin Nuuxow Waxaad Noqon kuwa la Dhagaxyeeyo

They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوۡمِی كَذَّبُونِ ﴿١١٧﴾

Wuxuuna yidhi Eebow Qoomkaygii waa I beeniyeen

He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me

فَٱفۡتَحۡ بَیۡنِی وَبَیۡنَهُمۡ فَتۡحࣰا وَنَجِّنِی وَمَن مَّعِیَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١١٨﴾

Ee Nakala Xukun Dhexdanada, ina kori Ani iyo Inta ila jirta ee Mu'miniinta ah

Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers

فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِی ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ ﴿١١٩﴾

Waxaannu ku Korinay Isaga iyo intii la Jirtay Doontii Buuxday

So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship

ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا بَعۡدُ ٱلۡبَاقِینَ ﴿١٢٠﴾

Ka Dibna waxaan Maanshaynay kuwii Hadhay (Gaaladii)

Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٢١﴾

Taasna waxaa ku Sugan Calaamad mana aha Badankoodu kuwo Rumayn

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿١٢٢﴾

Eebahaana waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٌ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ﴿١٢٣﴾

Waxay Beeniyeen Caad Rasuulladii

Aad denied the messengers

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٢٤﴾

Markuu ku Yidhi Walaalkood Huud Miyeydaan Dhawrsanayn

When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah

إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ﴿١٢٥﴾

Anigu waxaan idiin ahay Rasuul Aamin ah

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١٢٦﴾

Ee ka Dhawrsada Eebe Ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٢٧﴾

Idinkamana Warsanaayo Xaqa ujuuro, Ajrigaygana Eebaha Caalamkaan ka Sugi

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds

أَتَبۡنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِیعٍ ءَایَةࣰ تَعۡبَثُونَ ﴿١٢٨﴾

Miyaad ka Dhisaysaan Meel Sare oo Dhan Calaamad (Daar) Idinkoo Ciyaari

Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَخۡلُدُونَ ﴿١٢٩﴾

Ood Yeelanaysaan Masaanic (Dhismo) inaad Waartaan Darteed

And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally

وَإِذَا بَطَشۡتُم بَطَشۡتُمۡ جَبَّارِینَ ﴿١٣٠﴾

Haddaad wax Qabataan Ciqaabtaan una Ciqaabaysaan si Daran

And when you strike, you strike as tyrants

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١٣١﴾

ee Eebe ka Dhawrsada Ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿١٣٢﴾

Kana Dhawrsada Eebaha idin Siiyey waxaad Ogtihiin

And fear He who provided you with that which you know

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنۡعَـٰمࣲ وَبَنِینَ ﴿١٣٣﴾

Wuxuu idin Siiyey Xoolo iyo Caruur

Provided you with grazing livestock and children

وَجَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونٍ ﴿١٣٤﴾

Iyo Beero iyo Ilo

And gardens and springs

إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ﴿١٣٥﴾

Waxaana Idiinka Digi Cadab Maalin Wayn

Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day

قَالُوا۟ سَوَاۤءٌ عَلَیۡنَاۤ أَوَعَظۡتَ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡوَ ٰعِظِینَ ﴿١٣٦﴾

Waxay Dheheen waxaa Isu kaanna Mid ah Waanisayaa ama Maadan Waanininaa

They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors

إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿١٣٧﴾

Kanna ma aha waxaan Dabeecaddii «Diintii» Dadkii hore ahayn

This is not but the custom of the former peoples

وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِینَ ﴿١٣٨﴾

Nalamana Cadaabayo

And we are not to be punished

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٣٩﴾

Wayna Beeniyeen, markasaan Halaagnay. Taasina waxaa ku Sugan Calaamad, mana aha Badankoodu kuwo Rumayn

And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿١٤٠﴾

Eebahaana waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ﴿١٤١﴾

Waxay Beenisay Thamuud suulladii

Thamud denied the messengers

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٤٢﴾

Markuu ku Yidhi Walaalkood (Nabi) Saalax Miyaydaan Dhawrsanayan

When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah

إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ﴿١٤٣﴾

Waxaan idiin ahay Rasuul Aamin ah

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١٤٤﴾

ee ka Dhawrsadda Eebe ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٤٥﴾

Idinkamana Warsanaayo Xaqa ujuuro, Ajrigayga Eebaha Caalamkaan ka Sugi

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds

أَتُتۡرَكُونَ فِی مَا هَـٰهُنَاۤ ءَامِنِینَ ﴿١٤٦﴾

Ma waxaa Laydinkaga Tagi Halkan idinkoo Aamina

Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death]

فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ﴿١٤٧﴾

Oo ku Sugan Basaatiin iyo Ilo (Socda)

Within gardens and springs

وَزُرُوعࣲ وَنَخۡلࣲ طَلۡعُهَا هَضِیمࣱ ﴿١٤٨﴾

Iyo Beero iyo Timir Fiideedu Bisayl Tahay

And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit

وَتَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُیُوتࣰا فَـٰرِهِینَ ﴿١٤٩﴾

Ood ka Qoranaysaan Buuraha Guryo idinkoo Kibirsan

And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١٥٠﴾

Ee Eebe ka Dhawrsada ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

وَلَا تُطِیعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ ﴿١٥١﴾

Hana Adeecina «Maqlina» Amarka Xadgudbayaasha

And do not obey the order of the transgressors

ٱلَّذِینَ یُفۡسِدُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا یُصۡلِحُونَ ﴿١٥٢﴾

ah kuwa Fasaadiya Dhulka oon Hagaajinayn

Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend

قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِینَ ﴿١٥٣﴾

Waxay Dheheen waxaad uun ka mid Tahay kuwa la Sixray

They said, "You are only of those affected by magic

مَاۤ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا فَأۡتِ بِءَایَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ﴿١٥٤﴾

Mana Tihid waxaan Dad nala mid ah ahayn ee noo keen Aayad Haddaad run Sheegi

You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful

قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةࣱ لَّهَا شِرۡبࣱ وَلَكُمۡ شِرۡبُ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ﴿١٥٥﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Tani waa Hal, Maalinbay Cabbi idinkuna Maalinhaad Cabbaysaan la Yaqaan

He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوۤءࣲ فَیَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ﴿١٥٦﴾

Ee ha ku Taabanina Xumaan, oos idin qabto Cadaab Maalin wayn

And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِینَ ﴿١٥٧﴾

Wayse Dileen waxayna ahaadeen kuwo Qoomameeya

But they hamstrung her and so became regretful

فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٥٨﴾

Waxaana Qabtay Cadaab Taasna waxaa ku Sugan Calaamad, Badankoodna ma aha kuwo Rumayn (Xaqa)

And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿١٥٩﴾

Eebahaana waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ﴿١٦٠﴾

Waxay Beeniyeen Qoomkii (Nabi) Luudh Rasuuladii

The people of Lot denied the messengers

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٦١﴾

Markuu ku Yidhi Walaalkood Luudh Miyeydaan Dhawrsanayn

When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah

إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ﴿١٦٢﴾

Waxaan idiin ahay Rasuul Aaminee

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١٦٣﴾

ee ka Dhawrsada Eebe ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٦٤﴾

Idinkama Warsanaayo Xaqa Ujuuro, Ajrigayga Eebaha Caalamkaan ka Sugi

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds

أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٦٥﴾

Ma waxaad u Tagaysaan Ragga Caalamka

Do you approach males among the worlds

وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ ﴿١٦٦﴾

Ood ka Tagaysaan waxa Eebe idiin Abuuray oo Haweenkiina ah, waxaadse Tihiin Kuwo Xadgudba

And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ یَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِینَ ﴿١٦٧﴾

Waxay Dheheen haddaadan Joogin Luudhow Waxaad Noqon kuwa la Bixiyo

They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted

قَالَ إِنِّی لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِینَ ﴿١٦٨﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi (Luudh) Anigu Camalkiinna waan la Cadhaysnahay

He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]

رَبِّ نَجِّنِی وَأَهۡلِی مِمَّا یَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿١٦٩﴾

Eebow iga Kori iyo Ehelkaygaba waxay Falayaan

My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do

فَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ﴿١٧٠﴾

Waana korinay Isaga iyo Ehelkiisiiba Dhammaan

So We saved him and his family, all

إِلَّا عَجُوزࣰا فِی ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ﴿١٧١﴾

Habar ku hadhay Mooyee (Haweeneydiisii)

Except an old woman among those who remained behind

ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ﴿١٧٢﴾

Markaasaan Halaagnay Intii kale

Then We destroyed the others

وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم مَّطَرࣰاۖ فَسَاۤءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِینَ ﴿١٧٣﴾

Waxaa ku soo Daynay (Roob Dhagax Naara) waxaana u Xun Roobka kuwa Loo digay

And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٧٤﴾

Taasna waxaa ku Sugan Calaamad, Badankoodna ma aha kuwo Rumayn

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿١٧٥﴾

Eebhaana waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ لۡءَیۡكَةِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ﴿١٧٦﴾

Waxay Beeniyeen Kayntii Ehelkeedii Rasuulladii

The companions of the thicket denied the messengers

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَیۡبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿١٧٧﴾

Markuu ku Yidhi Nabi Shucayb Miyeydaan Dhawrsanayn

When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah

إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ﴿١٧٨﴾

Waxaan idiin ahay Rasuul Aaminee

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ﴿١٧٩﴾

ee ka Dhawrsada Eebe ina Adeeca

So fear Allah and obey me

وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٨٠﴾

Idinkama Warsanaayo Xaqa Ujuuro, Ajrigayga Eebaha Caalamkaan ka Sugi

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds

۞ أَوۡفُوا۟ ٱلۡكَیۡلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡسِرِینَ ﴿١٨١﴾

Oofiya (Dhammaystira) Beegidda hana ka mid Noqonina kuwa Nusqaamiya

Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss

وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلۡقِسۡطَاسِ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِیمِ ﴿١٨٢﴾

Una Miisama Cadaalad Toosan

And weigh with an even balance

وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡیَاۤءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِینَ ﴿١٨٣﴾

Hana ka Nusqaaminina Dadka waxooda hana Xumaynina Dhulka Idinkoo Fasaadin

And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلۡجِبِلَّةَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿١٨٤﴾

Kana Dhawrsada Eebaha idin Abuuray iyo Khalqigii Horreeyey

And fear He who created you and the former creation

قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِینَ ﴿١٨٥﴾

Waxay Dheheen waxaad uun Tahay kuwa la Sixray

They said, "You are only of those affected by magic

وَمَاۤ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِینَ ﴿١٨٦﴾

Mana Tihid waxaan Dad nala mid ah ahayn, waxaana kuu Malaynaynaa kuwa Beenaalayaasha ah

You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars

فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَیۡنَا كِسَفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ﴿١٨٧﴾

ee Nagu soo Rid Goosimo Samada ka mid ah haddaad Run sheegi

So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful

قَالَ رَبِّیۤ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿١٨٨﴾

Wuxuu Yidhi Eebahay baa og waxaad Falaysaan

He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمٍ ﴿١٨٩﴾

Wayna Beeniyeen waxaana Qabtay Cadaab Maalintii Hadhka, waana Cadaab Maalin Wayn

And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٩٠﴾

Arrintaasna waxaa ku Sugan Calaamad mana aha Badankoodu mid Rumayn

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿١٩١﴾

Eebahaana waa Adkaade Naxariista

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِیلُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿١٩٢﴾

Quraankuna waa soo Dejin Ebaha Caalamka

And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلۡأَمِینُ ﴿١٩٣﴾

Waxaa kula soo degan Ruux Aamin ah (Jibriil)

The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down

عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِینَ ﴿١٩٤﴾

Qalbigaaga inaad ahaato kuwa ku Diga

Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِیࣲّ مُّبِینࣲ ﴿١٩٥﴾

Af Carabi ahoo Cad

In a clear Arabic language

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِی زُبُرِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿١٩٦﴾

Quraankuna wuxuu ku Sugnaa Kutubtii hore

And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples

أَوَ لَمۡ یَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَایَةً أَن یَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰۤؤُا۟ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ﴿١٩٧﴾

Miyeyna Calaamad ugu Fillayn inuu Yaqaanno Culimadii Banii Israa'iil

And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel

وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضِ ٱلۡأَعۡجَمِینَ ﴿١٩٨﴾

Haddan ku soo Dejino Quraankan Cajamiga Qaarkiis

And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners

فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَیۡهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿١٩٩﴾

oo uu ku Akhriyo Korkooda mayna Rumeeyeen

And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it

كَذَ ٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَـٰهُ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ﴿٢٠٠﴾

Saasaan u Galinay Diidada Quluubta Dambiilayaasha

Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals

لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ یَرَوُا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِیمَ ﴿٢٠١﴾

Mana Rumaynayaan Xaqa Intay ka Arkaan Cadaab Daran

They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment

فَیَأۡتِیَهُم بَغۡتَةࣰ وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ﴿٢٠٢﴾

Oos ugu Yimaaddo Cadaabku Kado Iyagoon Ogayn

And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not

فَیَقُولُوا۟ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ ﴿٢٠٣﴾

Oy Dhahaan ma nala Sugi

And they will say, "May we be reprieved

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا یَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ﴿٢٠٤﴾

Ma Cadaabkanagay Dadajisan

So for Our punishment are they impatient

أَفَرَءَیۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِنِینَ ﴿٢٠٥﴾

Ka Warraan Haddaan u Raaxayno Sanooyin

Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years

ثُمَّ جَاۤءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُوعَدُونَ ﴿٢٠٦﴾

Markaas uu u Yimaaddo wixii loogu Goodinaayey

And then there came to them that which they were promised

مَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُمَتَّعُونَ ﴿٢٠٧﴾

Muxuu uga Tari Xaggooda wixii loogu Raaxeeyey

They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided

وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ ﴿٢٠٨﴾

Magaalo aan Halaagno oon loo Diginna ma Jirto

And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners

ذِكۡرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ ﴿٢٠٩﴾

Waano Darteed, mana nihin Daalimiin

As a reminder; and never have We been unjust

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتۡ بِهِ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ ﴿٢١٠﴾

Kumana soo Degto Quraanka Shayaadiintu

And the devils have not brought the revelation down

وَمَا یَنۢبَغِی لَهُمۡ وَمَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ ﴿٢١١﴾

Kumana Habboona mana Karaan

It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able

إِنَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّمۡعِ لَمَعۡزُولُونَ ﴿٢١٢﴾

Shayaadiintu Maqalka waa ka Fogyihiin

Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed

فَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُعَذَّبِینَ ﴿٢١٣﴾

Ee ha Caabudin (Baryin) Eebe Miciisa Ilaah kale ood Noqoto kuwa la Cadaabo

So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished

وَأَنذِرۡ عَشِیرَتَكَ ٱلۡأَقۡرَبِینَ ﴿٢١٤﴾

Una Dig Qaraabadaada Kuu sii Dhaw

And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred

وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿٢١٥﴾

Una Raarici Garabkaaga (U Naxariiso) Ciddii ku Raacda oo Mu'miniinta ah

And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers

فَإِنۡ عَصَوۡكَ فَقُلۡ إِنِّی بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿٢١٦﴾

Hadday ku Cassiyaanna waxaad Dhahdaa anigu Bari baan ka ahay waxaad Falaysaan

And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing

وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ ﴿٢١٧﴾

Talo Saaro Eebaha Adkaada ee Naxariista

And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

ٱلَّذِی یَرَىٰكَ حِینَ تَقُومُ ﴿٢١٨﴾

Ee ku Arka Markaad Kici

Who sees you when you arise

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِی ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ﴿٢١٩﴾

Iyo Lagagadoonkaaga kuwa Tukan

And your movement among those who prostrate

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ﴿٢٢٠﴾

Eebana waa Maqle Og

Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing

هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ ﴿٢٢١﴾

Ma idiinka Warramaa Ruuxay ku soo Degi Shayaadiintu

Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِیمࣲ ﴿٢٢٢﴾

Waxay ku soo Degi Beenaale Dambi Badan oo Dhan

They descend upon every sinful liar

یُلۡقُونَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ كَـٰذِبُونَ ﴿٢٢٣﴾

Waxayna Xadi Maqalka Badankoodna waa Beenaalayaal

They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars

وَٱلشُّعَرَاۤءُ یَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ ﴿٢٢٤﴾

Gabayaana waxaa Raaca kuwa Baadida ah

And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِی كُلِّ وَادࣲ یَهِیمُونَ ﴿٢٢٥﴾

Miyaadan Arkin in Iyagu Tog kasta (Xumaan) ay ku Dhex Wareersanyihiin

Do you not see that in every valley they roam

وَأَنَّهُمۡ یَقُولُونَ مَا لَا یَفۡعَلُونَ ﴿٢٢٦﴾

Oyna Sheegi waxayna Falayn

And that they say what they do not do

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِیرࣰا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ۗ وَسَیَعۡلَمُ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوۤا۟ أَیَّ مُنقَلَبࣲ یَنقَلِبُونَ ﴿٢٢٧﴾

Kuwa Xaqa Rumeeyey Mooyee oo Camal Fiican Fala oo Xusa Eebe wax Badan, oo Gargaarta Dulmi ka Dib, waxayna Ogaan doonaan kuwii Dulmi Falay soo Noqoshaday soo Noqdaan (Qiyaamada)

Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned
