Surah Adh-Dhaariyat سُورَةُ الذَّارِيَاتِ

وَٱلذَّ ٰرِیَـٰتِ ذَرۡوࣰا ﴿١﴾

Eebe wuxuu ku dhaartay dabaysha (Carrada kicisa)

By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing

فَٱلۡحَـٰمِلَـٰتِ وِقۡرࣰا ﴿٢﴾

Iyo daruurta xambaarta culayska (Roobka)

And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

فَٱلۡجَـٰرِیَـٰتِ یُسۡرࣰا ﴿٣﴾

iyo doonnida sida fudud u socota

And those [ships] sailing with ease

فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَـٰتِ أَمۡرًا ﴿٤﴾

Iyo Malaa'igta amarka qaybisa

And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقࣱ ﴿٥﴾

Ee dadow waxa laydiinku goodin waa run

Indeed, what you are promised is true

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّینَ لَوَ ٰقِعࣱ ﴿٦﴾

Abaalmarintuna waa sugantahay

And indeed, the recompense is to occur

وَٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡحُبُكِ ﴿٧﴾

Samada yuu Eebe ku dhaartay ee quruxda iyo waddooyinka leh

By the heaven containing pathways

إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِی قَوۡلࣲ مُّخۡتَلِفࣲ ﴿٨﴾

Ee dadow waxaad ku sugantihiin hadal is khilaafsan

Indeed, you are in differing speech

یُؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ أُفِكَ ﴿٩﴾

Iimaankana waxaa laga iilaa ruux dhumay

Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded

قُتِلَ ٱلۡخَرَّ ٰصُونَ ﴿١٠﴾

Waxaana la nacladay Beenalayaasha

Destroyed are the falsifiers

ٱلَّذِینَ هُمۡ فِی غَمۡرَةࣲ سَاهُونَ ﴿١١﴾

Ee ah kuwa xumaantooda (baadinimadooda) ku dhexhilmaansan

Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless

یَسۡءَلُونَ أَیَّانَ یَوۡمُ ٱلدِّینِ ﴿١٢﴾

waxay waydiin goorta abaalmarinta (qiyaamada)

They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense

یَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ یُفۡتَنُونَ ﴿١٣﴾

Waana maalinta naarta lagu gubi

[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire

ذُوقُوا۟ فِتۡنَتَكُمۡ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِی كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Laguna dhihi dhadhamiya caddibaddii aad dadajisanayseen

[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونٍ ﴿١٥﴾

Kuwa dhawrsaday waxay ku sugnaan Jannooyin iyo Ilo

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs

ءَاخِذِینَ مَاۤ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَبۡلَ ذَ ٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِینَ ﴿١٦﴾

Iyagoo qaadan waxa Eebe siiyay, maxaayeelay waxay ahaayeen horay kuwo wanaag fala

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good

كَانُوا۟ قَلِیلࣰا مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ مَا یَهۡجَعُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

Waxayna ahaayeen kuwo wax yar Habeenkii seexda

They used to sleep but little of the night

وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ یَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ ﴿١٨﴾

Waagana way dambi dhaaf waydiisanayeen

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness

وَفِیۤ أَمۡوَ ٰلِهِمۡ حَقࣱّ لِّلسَّاۤئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ ﴿١٩﴾

Xoolohoodana xaq bay ku leeyihiin kuwa waydiista iyo kadhibaataysan

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived

وَفِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ءَایَـٰتࣱ لِّلۡمُوقِنِینَ ﴿٢٠﴾

Dhulkana waxaa ugu sugan calaamooyin kuwa wax yaqiinin

And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]

وَفِیۤ أَنفُسِكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَ ﴿٢١﴾

Naftiinna miyaydaan arkaynin (waana qaadasho)

And in yourselves. Then will you not see

وَفِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

Samada yuuna jiraa risqigiinnu iyo waxa laydiin yaboohi

And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقࣱّ مِّثۡلَ مَاۤ أَنَّكُمۡ تَنطِقُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾

Ebaha Cirka iyo dhulka yaan ku dhaarannaye waxa quraanku sheegi waa suganyahay sida hadalkiinna oo kale

Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِیثُ ضَیۡفِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِینَ ﴿٢٤﴾

Ma ku soo gaadhay warkii martidii (Nabi) Ibraahiim ee sharafta lahayd

Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham

إِذۡ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمࣰاۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمࣱ قَوۡمࣱ مُّنكَرُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾

Markay salaameenna, isna uu salaantii ka celiyey yidhi waxaad tihiin kuwo aan la oqoonnin

When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰۤ أَهۡلِهِۦ فَجَاۤءَ بِعِجۡلࣲ سَمِینࣲ ﴿٢٦﴾

Markaasu aaday ehelkiisii lana yimid Dibi shilis (una gawracay)

Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf

فَقَرَّبَهُۥۤ إِلَیۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ ﴿٢٧﴾

Una soo dhaweeyay isagoo ku leh maxaad u cuni waydeen

And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat

فَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِیفَةࣰۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفۡۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِیمࣲ ﴿٢٨﴾

Wuxuuna naftiisa ka kasay cabsi xaggooda ah, waxayna ku dheheen ha cabsanin, waxayna ugu bishaareeyeen wiil cilmi yeelan

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy

فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِی صَرَّةࣲ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِیمࣱ ﴿٢٩﴾

Markaasay soo qaabishay haweenaydiisii iyadoo ku qaylyi wajigana garaaci Ma Habar mandhalays ah (yaa wax dhali)

And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman

قَالُوا۟ كَذَ ٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ﴿٣٠﴾

waxayna ku dheheen xaalku waa saas, Eebahaaga falkasan ee waxwalba og yaa yidhi

They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing

۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ﴿٣١﴾

(Nabi Ibraahim) wuxuu ku yidhi xaalkiinnu see yahay kuwayohow la soo diray

[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers

قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمࣲ مُّجۡرِمِینَ ﴿٣٢﴾

Waxayna dheheen waxaa lanoo soo diray qoon dambiilayaal ah

They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةࣰ مِّن طِینࣲ ﴿٣٣﴾

Si aan ugu soo dirro korkooda dhagaxyo dhoobo (kulul)

To send down upon them stones of clay

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ ﴿٣٤﴾

Oo Eebe agtiisa loogu calaameeyay kuwa xadgudbay

Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors

فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مَن كَانَ فِیهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿٣٥﴾

Markaasaan ka bixinnay kuwii mu'miniinta ahaa oo ku dhexjiray

So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers

فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِیهَا غَیۡرَ بَیۡتࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ ﴿٣٦﴾

kamana aannaan helin waxaan halguri oo muslin ah ahayn

And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims

وَتَرَكۡنَا فِیهَاۤ ءَایَةࣰ لِّلَّذِینَ یَخَافُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِیمَ ﴿٣٧﴾

Waxaana kaga tagnay dhexdeeda calaamad (ay ku waana qaatan) kuwa ka cabsan caddibaad daran

And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment

وَفِی مُوسَىٰۤ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ﴿٣٨﴾

(Nabi) Muusana calaamo lagu waana qaatu ahaa markaan u dirray Fircoon isagoo wata xujo cad

And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكۡنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَـٰحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونࣱ ﴿٣٩﴾

Wuuna jeedsaday isagoo la jira colkiisii, wuxuuna ku yidhi waa Saaxir ama waa waalanyahay

But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman

فَأَخَذۡنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذۡنَـٰهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡیَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِیمࣱ ﴿٤٠﴾

Markaasaan qabannay (ciqaabnay) isaga iyo Askartiisiiba, waxaana ku tuurray Badda isagoo la dagaalay

So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy

وَفِی عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلرِّیحَ ٱلۡعَقِیمَ ﴿٤١﴾

Ree Caadna (calaamo lagu waana qaato yaa ku sugan) markaan ku dirray dabayl wax halaagta

And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَیۡءٍ أَتَتۡ عَلَیۡهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتۡهُ كَٱلرَّمِیمِ ﴿٤٢﴾

Wax kasta oy martana ka dhigi wax tirtiran

It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins

وَفِی ثَمُودَ إِذۡ قِیلَ لَهُمۡ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِینࣲ ﴿٤٣﴾

Ree Thamuudna (Calaamo lagu waana qaato yaa ku sugan) markii lagu yidhi taaxaysta ilaa waqti

And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time

فَعَتَوۡا۟ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ یَنظُرُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾

Waxayna iska kibriyeen amarkii Eebe, waxaana qabtay Qaylo daran iyagoo eegi

But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on

فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مِن قِیَامࣲ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِینَ ﴿٤٥﴾

Mana ayna karin kicid, isumana ayna gargaarin

And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves

وَقَوۡمَ نُوحࣲ مِّن قَبۡلُۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَوۡمࣰا فَـٰسِقِینَ ﴿٤٦﴾

(Nabi) Nuux qoomkiisiina waa horreeyeen, waxayna ahaayeen kuwo faasiqiin ah

And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient

وَٱلسَّمَاۤءَ بَنَیۡنَـٰهَا بِأَیۡی۟دࣲ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾

Samada annagaa u dhisnay si xoog ah, waana waasicinnay

And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَرَشۡنَـٰهَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمَـٰهِدُونَ ﴿٤٨﴾

Dhulkana waan gogollay cid wax gogoshana annagaa u fiican (Eebe)

And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer

وَمِن كُلِّ شَیۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَیۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾

Waxwalbana waxaan ka abuurray laba nooc, si aad ugu waana qaadataan

And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember

فَفِرُّوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّی لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ﴿٥٠﴾

Ee Eebe u carara (toobad keena), waxaana idiin ahay dige cade (muuqda)

So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner

وَلَا تَجۡعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَۖ إِنِّی لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ﴿٥١﴾

Hana yeelina Eebe miciisa ilaah kale, waxaan idiin ahay dige cade

And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner

كَذَ ٰلِكَ مَاۤ أَتَى ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٌ ﴿٥٢﴾

Xaalku waa saas, Gaaladii ReeMakaad ka horreysayna markastoo Rasuul uyimaado waxay dhihi jireen waa Saaxir ama waa waalanyahay

Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman

أَتَوَاصَوۡا۟ بِهِۦۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ طَاغُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾

Miyay isu dardaarmeen arrintaas, waase qoom xadgudbay

Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people

فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَاۤ أَنتَ بِمَلُومࣲ ﴿٥٤﴾

Ee Nabiyow iskaga jeedsado xaggooda, ma tihid mid la dagaaliye (Eebe agtiisa)

So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed

وَذَكِّرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ﴿٥٥﴾

Ee wax waani, waanaduna waxay anfici mu'minintee

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُونِ ﴿٥٦﴾

Jinni iyo Insi waxaan Cibaadadayda ahayn uma abuurin

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me

مَاۤ أُرِیدُ مِنۡهُم مِّن رِّزۡقࣲ وَمَاۤ أُرِیدُ أَن یُطۡعِمُونِ ﴿٥٧﴾

Kamana doonaayo Risqi, iyo inay i quudiyaan

I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلۡقُوَّةِ ٱلۡمَتِینُ ﴿٥٨﴾

Illeen Eebe umbaa ah arsuqe xoogbadane

Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبࣰا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصۡحَـٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا یَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ ﴿٥٩﴾

Kuwii dulmiilowga ahaa waxaa u sugnaaday. Qyb (ciqaab ah) oo la mid ah tii saaxiibbadoodii (ka horreeyey) ee ha dadajisanin

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me

فَوَیۡلࣱ لِّلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن یَوۡمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِی یُوعَدُونَ ﴿٦٠﴾

Halaag wuxuu usugnaaday kuwii gaaloobay maalintoodii (Qiyaame) ee loogu yaboohay

And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised
