Surah Ad-Dukhaan سُورَةُ الدُّخَانِ

حمۤ ﴿١﴾

Waannu sheegnay iyadoo kale

Ha, Meem

وَٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِینِ ﴿٢﴾

Waxaan ku dhaartay Kitaabka Cade (Quraanka)

By the clear Book

إِنَّاۤ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ فِی لَیۡلَةࣲ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِینَ ﴿٣﴾

Anagaa dejinay Quraanka Habeen barakeysan (Layletulqadar) anagaana wax u digi

Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind]

فِیهَا یُفۡرَقُ كُلُّ أَمۡرٍ حَكِیمٍ ﴿٤﴾

Habeenkaasaana la kala bixiyaa amar kastoo xigmo leh

On that night is made distinct every precise matter

أَمۡرࣰا مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۤۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِینَ ﴿٥﴾

Waana amar agtanada ka ahaaday, anagaana wax dirra (Rasuulo)

[Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger]

رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ﴿٦﴾

Naxariis ka ahaater xagga Eebahaa, Eebaana wax maqle ah wax og

As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing

رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِینَ ﴿٧﴾

Waana Eebaha samooyiinka iyo Dhulka iyo waxa u dhaxeeya haddaad yaqiinsanaysaan

Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them, if you would be certain

لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ یُحۡیِۦ وَیُمِیتُۖ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَاۤئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ﴿٨﴾

Ilaahay mooyee Eebe kalane ma jiro, isagaa wax nooleeya waxna dila, waana Eebihiina iyo Eebaha Aabbayaalkiinii horreeyey

There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers

بَلۡ هُمۡ فِی شَكࣲّ یَلۡعَبُونَ ﴿٩﴾

Waxayse ku suganyihiin shaki wayna ciyaari

But they are in doubt, amusing themselves

فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ یَوۡمَ تَأۡتِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ بِدُخَانࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ﴿١٠﴾

Ee sug Maalinta uu ku imaan Cirku qiiq muuqda (isagoo ku dheehan)

Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke

یَغۡشَى ٱلنَّاسَۖ هَـٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ ﴿١١﴾

Oo dabooli Dadka kaasina waa cadaab daran

Covering the people; this is a painful torment

رَّبَّنَا ٱكۡشِفۡ عَنَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُونَ ﴿١٢﴾

Waxayna dheheen Eebow naga fayd cadaabka waxaan nahay Mu'miniine

[They will say], "Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers

أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ وَقَدۡ جَاۤءَهُمۡ رَسُولࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ﴿١٣﴾

Goormay waantoobi isagoos u yimid Rasuul cad «muuqda»

How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger

ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوۡا۟ عَنۡهُ وَقَالُوا۟ مُعَلَّمࣱ مَّجۡنُونٌ ﴿١٤﴾

Markaasay ka, jeedsadeen Nabiga waxayna dheheen waa waxlabare waalan

Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman

إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابِ قَلِیلًاۚ إِنَّكُمۡ عَاۤئِدُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Anagu waxaan idiinka faydaynaa cadaabka wax yar idinkuna waxaad ku noqonaysaan xumaanta

Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief]

یَوۡمَ نَبۡطِشُ ٱلۡبَطۡشَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰۤ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ ﴿١٦﴾

Maalintaan qabanayno qabashada wayn (Qiyaamada) (ama Badar) waanu aarsan

The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution

۞ وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَجَاۤءَهُمۡ رَسُولࣱ كَرِیمٌ ﴿١٧﴾

Dhab ahaanbaan Imtixaanay hortood qoomkii Fircoon, waxaana u yimid Rasuul sharaf leh

And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger

أَنۡ أَدُّوۤا۟ إِلَیَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ﴿١٨﴾

Isagoo dhihi iidhiiba addoomada Eebe (ama maqalka) waxaan idiin ahay Rasuul aamin ah

[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger

وَأَن لَّا تَعۡلُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّیۤ ءَاتِیكُم بِسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ﴿١٩﴾

Hana iska wayneynina Eebe waxaan idiin la imid xujo cade

And [saying], "Be not haughty with Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority

وَإِنِّی عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّی وَرَبِّكُمۡ أَن تَرۡجُمُونِ ﴿٢٠﴾

Waxaana ka magangalay Eebahay iyo Eebihiin inaad idhagaxyeysaan

And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me

وَإِن لَّمۡ تُؤۡمِنُوا۟ لِی فَٱعۡتَزِلُونِ ﴿٢١﴾

Ee hadaydaan i rumeyn iga fogaada (idaaya)

But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone

فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥۤ أَنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ قَوۡمࣱ مُّجۡرِمُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾

wuxuuna u qaylyey Eebihiis in kuwaasu yihiin Qoom dambiila yaal ah

And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people

فَأَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِی لَیۡلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾

guuri addoomadayda Habeenimo, waa laydin raaciye

[Allah said], "Then set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you are to be pursued

وَٱتۡرُكِ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ رَهۡوًاۖ إِنَّهُمۡ جُندࣱ مُّغۡرَقُونَ ﴿٢٤﴾

kana tag badda iyadoo xasilloon oo furan iyagu waa col la maanshayne

And leave the sea in stillness. Indeed, they are an army to be drowned

كَمۡ تَرَكُوا۟ مِن جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ﴿٢٥﴾

imisey ka tageen Beero iyo Ilo

How much they left behind of gardens and springs

وَزُرُوعࣲ وَمَقَامࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ﴿٢٦﴾

iyo Tallaal iyo meel sharaf leh

And crops and noble sites

وَنَعۡمَةࣲ كَانُوا۟ فِیهَا فَـٰكِهِینَ ﴿٢٧﴾

iyo Nicmooyin ay ku raaxaysanayeen

And comfort wherein they were amused

كَذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَـٰهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِینَ ﴿٢٨﴾

xaalkuna waa saas, waxaana dhaxalsiinay qoom kale

Thus. And We caused to inherit it another people

فَمَا بَكَتۡ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنظَرِینَ ﴿٢٩﴾

uma ooyin samada iyo Dhulku korkooda, lamana sugin

And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved

وَلَقَدۡ نَجَّیۡنَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡمُهِینِ ﴿٣٠﴾

waana ka korinay ree Bani Israa'iil cadaab wax duleeya

And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment

مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِیࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ ﴿٣١﴾

(Fircoombaan ka korinay) wuxuuna ahaa isla weyne xadgudbayaasha ka mid ah

From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors

وَلَقَدِ ٱخۡتَرۡنَـٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ﴿٣٢﴾

waxaana ka dooranay (dadkii waqtigoodii) anagoo og

And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds

وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ مَا فِیهِ بَلَـٰۤؤࣱا۟ مُّبِینٌ ﴿٣٣﴾

waxaana siinay aayado imtixaan cad kusuganyahay

And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial

إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ لَیَقُولُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾

kuwaasi (Gaaladu) waxay dhihi

Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying

إِنۡ هِیَ إِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنشَرِینَ ﴿٣٥﴾

arrintu ma aha geerida hore mooyee, mana nihin kuwo la soobixin

There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected

فَأۡتُوا۟ بِءَابَاۤئِنَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ﴿٣٦﴾

noo keena aabayowgano haddaad run sheegaysaan

Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful

أَهُمۡ خَیۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعࣲ وَٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ ﴿٣٧﴾

miyagaa khayr roon mise qoomkii Tubax iyo kuwii ka horreeyey waan halaagnay waxayna ahaayeen dambiilayaal

Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِینَ ﴿٣٨﴾

Samooyinka iyo Dhulka iyo waxa u dhaxeeya umaanaan abuurin ciyaar

And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play

مَا خَلَقۡنَـٰهُمَاۤ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

mana aanaan u abuurin wax aan xaq ahayn hasa yeeshee badankood ma oga

We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know

إِنَّ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ مِیقَـٰتُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ﴿٤٠﴾

maalinta kala bixinta yaa ballan u ah dhamaan

Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all

یَوۡمَ لَا یُغۡنِی مَوۡلًى عَن مَّوۡلࣰى شَیۡءࣰا وَلَا هُمۡ یُنصَرُونَ ﴿٤١﴾

waana Maalintaan Qaraabanimo waxba laysugu tarayn laysuna gargaarayn

The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped

إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ﴿٤٢﴾

cid Eebe u naxariisto mooyee, illeen waz adkaade naxariistee

Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful

إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ ﴿٤٣﴾

Geedka Zaquumka ah

Indeed, the tree of zaqqum

طَعَامُ ٱلۡأَثِیمِ ﴿٤٤﴾

waa cunnada dambi badanaha

Is food for the sinful

كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ یَغۡلِی فِی ٱلۡبُطُونِ ﴿٤٥﴾

waana Laami oo kale kuna kari Caloosha

Like murky oil, it boils within bellies

كَغَلۡیِ ٱلۡحَمِیمِ ﴿٤٦﴾

sida Xamiimka (Kulayl daran) oo kale

Like the boiling of scalding water

خُذُوهُ فَٱعۡتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَاۤءِ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ ﴿٤٧﴾

(waxaana lagu dhihi) qabta Gaalka una Jiida Jaximo dhexdeeda

[It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire

ثُمَّ صُبُّوا۟ فَوۡقَ رَأۡسِهِۦ مِنۡ عَذَابِ ٱلۡحَمِیمِ ﴿٤٨﴾

markaas ku shuba Madaxiisa korkiisa cadaab kulul

Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water

ذُقۡ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡكَرِیمُ ﴿٤٩﴾

(waxaana lagu dhihi) dhadhami (Cadaabka) waxaad tahay adkaade sharaflehe

[It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَمۡتَرُونَ ﴿٥٠﴾

kaasina waa kaad ahaydeen kuwo shakiya (Cadaabka)

Indeed, this is what you used to dispute

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ فِی مَقَامٍ أَمِینࣲ ﴿٥١﴾

kuwa dhawrsadana waxay kusugnaan meel aamin ah

Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place

فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ﴿٥٢﴾

Jannooyin iyo Ilo (yey kusugnaan)

Within gardens and springs

یَلۡبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسࣲ وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقࣲ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِینَ ﴿٥٣﴾

waxayna xidhan Xariir jilicsan iyo mid adag (oo dhalaali) wayna is qaabili

Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other

كَذَ ٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجۡنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِینࣲ ﴿٥٤﴾

saasoo kale waxaa usugnaaday Haween Indho waaweyn

Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes

یَدۡعُونَ فِیهَا بِكُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِینَ ﴿٥٥﴾

waxayna uyeedhan Janada dhexdeeda Khudaar kasa iyagoo aamin ah

They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure

لَا یَذُوقُونَ فِیهَا ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِلَّا ٱلۡمَوۡتَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ ﴿٥٦﴾

mana ku dhadhamiyaan Jannada dhexdeeda Geeri, Geeridii hore mooyee wuxuuna ka dhawray (Eebe) Cadaabka Jaxiimo

They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire

فَضۡلࣰا مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِیمُ ﴿٥٧﴾

waana fadliga Eebahaa, taasina waa liibaanta wayn

As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment

فَإِنَّمَا یَسَّرۡنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٥٨﴾

waxaan ugu fududaynay Quraanka Carrabkaaga inay waantoobaan

And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded

فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ إِنَّهُم مُّرۡتَقِبُونَ ﴿٥٩﴾

ee sug iyaguna way sugiye

So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]
