Surah Maryam سُورَةُ مَرۡيَمَ

كۤهیعۤصۤ ﴿١﴾

waa la soo sheegay kuwo lamid ah

Kaf, Ha, Ya, 'Ayn, Sad

ذِكۡرُ رَحۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبۡدَهُۥ زَكَرِیَّاۤ ﴿٢﴾

(kanna) waa sheegid naaxariista Eebahaa addoonkiisa zakariye

[This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah

إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَاۤءً خَفِیࣰّا ﴿٣﴾

markuu u dhawaaqay Eebihiis dhawaaq qarsoodi ah

When he called to his Lord a private supplication

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّی وَهَنَ ٱلۡعَظۡمُ مِنِّی وَٱشۡتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأۡسُ شَیۡبࣰا وَلَمۡ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَاۤئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِیࣰّا ﴿٤﴾

yidhina Eebow anigu waan tabaryaraaday madaxayguna wuxuu la huray cirro, Mana ahayn baryadaada Eebow mid ku khasaara

He said, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy

وَإِنِّی خِفۡتُ ٱلۡمَوَ ٰلِیَ مِن وَرَاۤءِی وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِی عَاقِرࣰا فَهَبۡ لِی مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِیࣰّا ﴿٥﴾

anigu waxaan ka cabsan qaraabada iga dambaysa (inay xumaadaan) haweenaydayduna waa mandhalays iga sii agtaada wali (walad)

And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir

یَرِثُنِی وَیَرِثُ مِنۡ ءَالِ یَعۡقُوبَۖ وَٱجۡعَلۡهُ رَبِّ رَضِیࣰّا ﴿٦﴾

i dhaxla (nabinimada) oo dhaxla ehelkii yacquub kana yeel Eebow mid laga raalli noqdo

Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]

یَـٰزَكَرِیَّاۤ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ ٱسۡمُهُۥ یَحۡیَىٰ لَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبۡلُ سَمِیࣰّا ﴿٧﴾

zakariyow annagu waxaanu kuugu bishaarayn wiil magaciisu Yahay yaxye oonaan u yeelin horay wax lamid ah (lamagac ah)

[He was told], "O Zechariah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be John. We have not assigned to any before [this] name

قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ یَكُونُ لِی غُلَـٰمࣱ وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِی عَاقِرࣰا وَقَدۡ بَلَغۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِبَرِ عِتِیࣰّا ﴿٨﴾

wuxuu yidhi Eebow sidee iigu ahaan wiil iyadooy tahay haweeneydaydu madhalays oon ka gaadhay waynida gabow

He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when my wife has been barren and I have reached extreme old age

قَالَ كَذَ ٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَیَّ هَیِّنࣱ وَقَدۡ خَلَقۡتُكَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ تَكُ شَیۡءࣰا ﴿٩﴾

wuxuu yidhi waa saas, wuxuuna Eebaha yidhi isagu waa ii Fududahay waana ku abuuray horay adoon ahayn waxba

[An angel] said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, for I created you before, while you were nothing

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّیۤ ءَایَةࣰۖ قَالَ ءَایَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَـٰثَ لَیَالࣲ سَوِیࣰّا ﴿١٠﴾

wuxuu yidhi Eebow ii yeel calaamo (xaqnimada yaboohaada) wuxuu yidhi (Eebe) calaamadaadu waa inaadan la hadlin dadka seddex habeen oo israacsan (adoo fayow)

[Zechariah] said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound

فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ فَأَوۡحَىٰۤ إِلَیۡهِمۡ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكۡرَةࣰ وَعَشِیࣰّا ﴿١١﴾

markaasu ugaga soo baxay qoomkiisii mixraabka wuxuuna u ishaaray xaggooda inay tukadaan aroor iyo galabba

So he came out to his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them to exalt [Allah] in the morning and afternoon

یَـٰیَحۡیَىٰ خُذِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ بِقُوَّةࣲۖ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمَ صَبِیࣰّا ﴿١٢﴾

(waxaa loo yidhi) yaxyow ku qaado kitaabka (tawreed) xoog (dadaal) waxaan siinnay xigmo isagoo yar

[Allah] said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave him judgement [while yet] a boy

وَحَنَانࣰا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةࣰۖ وَكَانَ تَقِیࣰّا ﴿١٣﴾

iyo naxariis agtanada ka ahaatay iyo daahirnimo wuxuuna ahaa dhawrsade

And affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah

وَبَرَّۢا بِوَ ٰلِدَیۡهِ وَلَمۡ یَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِیࣰّا ﴿١٤﴾

iyo baarri labadiisa waalid mana ahayn daalim caasi ah

And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant

وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَیۡهِ یَوۡمَ وُلِدَ وَیَوۡمَ یَمُوتُ وَیَوۡمَ یُبۡعَثُ حَیࣰّا ﴿١٥﴾

nabadgalyo korkiisa ha ahaato maalinta la dhalay iyo maalintuu dhiman iyo maalinta la soo bixin isagoo nool

And peace be upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِی ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ مَرۡیَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتۡ مِنۡ أَهۡلِهَا مَكَانࣰا شَرۡقِیࣰّا ﴿١٦﴾

(ku xusuuso) kitaabka maryama markay uga fogaatay ehelkeeda meel bari ah, (bariga qudsi)

And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east

فَٱتَّخَذَتۡ مِن دُونِهِمۡ حِجَابࣰا فَأَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرࣰا سَوِیࣰّا ﴿١٧﴾

oyna ka yeelatay xaggeeda astur, oon u dirray xaggeeda ruuxannagii (jibriil), oo isugu shabahay dad eg

And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man

قَالَتۡ إِنِّیۤ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِیࣰّا ﴿١٨﴾

una tidhi anigu waxaan kaa magan galay (Eebaha) Raxmaan ah haddaad tahay dhawrsade

She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah

قَالَ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَـٰمࣰا زَكِیࣰّا ﴿١٩﴾

kuna yidhi anigu waxaan uun ahay rasuulka Eebahaa inaan ku siiyo wiil daahir ah

He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy

قَالَتۡ أَنَّىٰ یَكُونُ لِی غُلَـٰمࣱ وَلَمۡ یَمۡسَسۡنِی بَشَرࣱ وَلَمۡ أَكُ بَغِیࣰّا ﴿٢٠﴾

waxayna tidhi sidee iigu ahaan wiil anoosan i taaban dad, ahaynna mid xun (la tuhmo)

She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste

قَالَ كَذَ ٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَیَّ هَیِّنࣱۖ وَلِنَجۡعَلَهُۥۤ ءَایَةࣰ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنَّاۚ وَكَانَ أَمۡرࣰا مَّقۡضِیࣰّا ﴿٢١﴾

wuxuuna yidhi waa sidaas wuxuuna yidhi Eebahaa wuu u fududyahay yidhi Eebahaa wuu u fududyahay korkayga iyo inaan uga yeello calamaad dadka iyo naxariis xagayga ah waana arrin la xukumay (dhammeeyey)

He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed

۞ فَحَمَلَتۡهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتۡ بِهِۦ مَكَانࣰا قَصِیࣰّا ﴿٢٢﴾

way xambaartay (uurowday) waxayna u fogaatay meel dheer (durugsan)

So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place

فَأَجَاۤءَهَا ٱلۡمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ قَالَتۡ یَـٰلَیۡتَنِی مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هَـٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسۡیࣰا مَّنسِیࣰّا ﴿٢٣﴾

waxayna u dhibaataysay fooshii jirrid timir waxayna tidhi shalleytee maan dhinto ka hor arrintan oon noqodo mid la halmaamo o laga tago

And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten

فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحۡتِهَاۤ أَلَّا تَحۡزَنِی قَدۡ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحۡتَكِ سَرِیࣰّا ﴿٢٤﴾

wuxuuna uga dhawaaqay hoosteeda ha murugoonin wuxuu yeelay Eebahaa hoostaada wabi (yar)

But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream

وَهُزِّیۤ إِلَیۡكِ بِجِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ تُسَـٰقِطۡ عَلَیۡكِ رُطَبࣰا جَنِیࣰّا ﴿٢٥﴾

una gilgil xaggaaga jirridda timirta ha kuu soo riddo korkaaga timir (curdana) oo fiicane

And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates

فَكُلِی وَٱشۡرَبِی وَقَرِّی عَیۡنࣰاۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَیِنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡبَشَرِ أَحَدࣰا فَقُولِیۤ إِنِّی نَذَرۡتُ لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ صَوۡمࣰا فَلَنۡ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ إِنسِیࣰّا ﴿٢٦﴾

ee cun oo cab qabowsana il (farax) haddaad ka aragto dadkana ruux waxaad dhahdaa anigu waxaan ugu nadray (Eebaha) Raxmaan oon u soomi oonan la hadlin maanta cidna

So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man

فَأَتَتۡ بِهِۦ قَوۡمَهَا تَحۡمِلُهُۥۖ قَالُوا۟ یَـٰمَرۡیَمُ لَقَدۡ جِئۡتِ شَیۡءࣰا فَرِیࣰّا ﴿٢٧﴾

waxayna ula timid ciise qoomkeeda uyadoo xambaarsan waxayna dheheen maryamoy waxaad la timid wax wayn

Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented

یَـٰۤأُخۡتَ هَـٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمۡرَأَ سَوۡءࣲ وَمَا كَانَتۡ أُمُّكِ بَغِیࣰّا ﴿٢٨﴾

haruun walaashiisay (u eg wanaagga) ma eheyn aabahaa ruux xun, mana ahayn hooyadaa mid xun (la tuhmo)

O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste

فَأَشَارَتۡ إِلَیۡهِۖ قَالُوا۟ كَیۡفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِی ٱلۡمَهۡدِ صَبِیࣰّا ﴿٢٩﴾

wayna u ishaartay xaggiisa waxayna dhaheen sideen ula hadlaynaa ruux ku sugan Sariirilmood isagoo yar

So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child

قَالَ إِنِّی عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِیَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِی نَبِیࣰّا ﴿٣٠﴾

wuxuuna yidhi (ciise) anigu waxaan ahay addoon Eebe, wuxuuna i siiyey kitaabka (injiil) wuxuuna iga yeelay nabi

[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet

وَجَعَلَنِی مُبَارَكًا أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوۡصَـٰنِی بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمۡتُ حَیࣰّا ﴿٣١﴾

wuxuuna iga yeelay mid la barakeeyey meel kastoon ahay, wuxuuna ii dardaarmay salaadda iyo zakada intaan noolahay

And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive

وَبَرَّۢا بِوَ ٰلِدَتِی وَلَمۡ یَجۡعَلۡنِی جَبَّارࣰا شَقِیࣰّا ﴿٣٢﴾

wuxuuna iga yeelay baarriga waalidaday (hooyaday) igamana yeelin madax adage xun

And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant

وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُ عَلَیَّ یَوۡمَ وُلِدتُّ وَیَوۡمَ أَمُوتُ وَیَوۡمَ أُبۡعَثُ حَیࣰّا ﴿٣٣﴾

nabadgalyana ha ahaato korkayga maalintii lay dhalay iyo maalintaan dhiman iyo maalinta laysoo bixin anoo nool

And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive

ذَ ٰلِكَ عِیسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡیَمَۖ قَوۡلَ ٱلۡحَقِّ ٱلَّذِی فِیهِ یَمۡتَرُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾

kaasi waa Ciise ibnu maryama, waana hadalka xaqa ah ee ay shakin

That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute

مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن یَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدࣲۖ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥۤۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰۤ أَمۡرࣰا فَإِنَّمَا یَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَیَكُونُ ﴿٣٥﴾

kuma haboona Eebe inuu yeesho ilmo, waana ka nasahanyahay, markuu doono xukun «amar» wuxuu uun dhahaa ahaw wuuna ahaan

It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is

وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّی وَرَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطࣱ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣱ ﴿٣٦﴾

Ilaahay waa Eebahay iyo Eebihiin ee caabuda, kaasaa ah jidka toosane

[Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path

فَٱخۡتَلَفَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ مِنۢ بَیۡنِهِمۡۖ فَوَیۡلࣱ لِّلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشۡهَدِ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمٍ ﴿٣٧﴾

wayse iskhilaafeen xisbiyadii dhexdooda wuxuuna halaag uga sugnaaday kuwii gaaloobay kulan maalin wayn

Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day

أَسۡمِعۡ بِهِمۡ وَأَبۡصِرۡ یَوۡمَ یَأۡتُونَنَاۖ لَـٰكِنِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ﴿٣٨﴾

maqli ogaa oo arki ogaa maalintay noo imaan, hase yeeshee daalimiintu maanta waxay ku suganyihiin baadi cad

How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the wrongdoers today are in clear error

وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡحَسۡرَةِ إِذۡ قُضِیَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَهُمۡ فِی غَفۡلَةࣲ وَهُمۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ﴿٣٩﴾

uga dig iyaga maalin qoomamo, marka la xukmin amarka iyagoo kusugan halmaansho oon rumeynayn

And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَرِثُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَنۡ عَلَیۡهَا وَإِلَیۡنَا یُرۡجَعُونَ ﴿٤٠﴾

annagaa dhaxli dhulka iyo waxa korkiisa ah xagganagaana laydiin soo celin

Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِی ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّیقࣰا نَّبِیًّا ﴿٤١﴾

ku sheeg kitaabka (nabi) Ibraahim, wuxuuu ahaa runbadane nabi ah

And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet

إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِیهِ یَـٰۤأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعۡبُدُ مَا لَا یَسۡمَعُ وَلَا یُبۡصِرُ وَلَا یُغۡنِی عَنكَ شَیۡءࣰا ﴿٤٢﴾

markuu ku yidhi aabihiis aabbow maxaad u caabudi waxaan maqlayn waxna arkayn kaana qeeqayn waxba

[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all

یَـٰۤأَبَتِ إِنِّی قَدۡ جَاۤءَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَمۡ یَأۡتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعۡنِیۤ أَهۡدِكَ صِرَ ٰطࣰا سَوِیࣰّا ﴿٤٣﴾

aabow aniga waxaa ii yimid cilmi waxaan adi kuu imaanin ee i raac aan kugu hanuuniyo jid toosane (xaqa)

O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path

یَـٰۤأَبَتِ لَا تَعۡبُدِ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنَۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عَصِیࣰّا ﴿٤٤﴾

aabbow ha caabudin shaydaan, shaydaanku wuxuu u yahay Eebaha Rasmaan ah caasi

O my father, do not worship Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient

یَـٰۤأَبَتِ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ أَن یَمَسَّكَ عَذَابࣱ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّیۡطَـٰنِ وَلِیࣰّا ﴿٤٥﴾

aabbow anigu waxaan ka cabsan inuu ku taabto cadaabka Eebaha Raxmaana ah ood u noqoto shaydaan qaraabo

O my father, indeed I fear that there will touch you a punishment from the Most Merciful so you would be to Satan a companion [in Hellfire]

قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِی یَـٰۤإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُۖ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ لَأَرۡجُمَنَّكَۖ وَٱهۡجُرۡنِی مَلِیࣰّا ﴿٤٦﴾

wuxuu yidhi (aabihiis) ma waxaad nici adigu ilaahyadayda Ibraahimow hadaadan joogin waan ku dhagaxyeyn ee iga tag waligeed

[His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time

قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَیۡكَۖ سَأَسۡتَغۡفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّیۤۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِی حَفِیࣰّا ﴿٤٧﴾

wuxuu yidhi (nabi) Ibraahim nabadgalyo korkaaga ha ahaato waan kuu dambi dhaaf warsan adiga Eebahay, Eebe waa ii naxariiste

[Abraham] said, "Peace will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me

وَأَعۡتَزِلُكُمۡ وَمَا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدۡعُوا۟ رَبِّی عَسَىٰۤ أَلَّاۤ أَكُونَ بِدُعَاۤءِ رَبِّی شَقِیࣰّا ﴿٤٨﴾

waana idinka fogaan idinka iyo waxaad caabudaysaan oo Eebe ka soo hadhay, waxaana baryi Eebahay, waxaana mudan inaanan ku noqonin baryada Eebahay mid ku xumaada (khasaara)

And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allah and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy

فَلَمَّا ٱعۡتَزَلَهُمۡ وَمَا یَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥۤ إِسۡحَـٰقَ وَیَعۡقُوبَۖ وَكُلࣰّا جَعَلۡنَا نَبِیࣰّا ﴿٤٩﴾

markuu ka fogaaday iyaga iyo waxay caabudi oo Eebe ka soo hadhay waxaan siinay Isxaaq iyo Yacquub mid kastana waxaan ka yeellay nabi

So when he had left them and those they worshipped other than Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and each [of them] We made a prophet

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحۡمَتِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لِسَانَ صِدۡقٍ عَلِیࣰّا ﴿٥٠﴾

waxaana ka siinnay naxariistanada (wanaag) waxaana u yeellay amaan run ah oo sarraysa

And We gave them of Our mercy, and we made for them a reputation of high honor

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِی ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ مُوسَىٰۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخۡلَصࣰا وَكَانَ رَسُولࣰا نَّبِیࣰّا ﴿٥١﴾

ku sheeg kitaabka (nabi) Muuse wuxuu ahaa rasuul nabi ah

And mention in the Book, Moses. Indeed, he was chosen, and he was a messenger and a prophet

وَنَـٰدَیۡنَـٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلۡأَیۡمَنِ وَقَرَّبۡنَـٰهُ نَجِیࣰّا ﴿٥٢﴾

waana uga dhawaaqnay dhinaca (buurta) dhuur ee midigta ah, waana soo dhawaynay annagoo la hadli

And We called him from the side of the mount at [his] right and brought him near, confiding [to him]

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحۡمَتِنَاۤ أَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ نَبِیࣰّا ﴿٥٣﴾

waxaana ka siinnay naxariistanada walaalkiis Haaruun oo nabi ah

And We gave him out of Our mercy his brother Aaron as a prophet

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِی ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ إِسۡمَـٰعِیلَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلۡوَعۡدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولࣰا نَّبِیࣰّا ﴿٥٤﴾

kuna sheeg kitaabka (nabi) Ismaaeiil, wuxuu ahaa rumeeyaha yabooha wuxuuna ahaa rasuul nabi ah

And mention in the Book, Ishmael. Indeed, he was true to his promise, and he was a messenger and a prophet

وَكَانَ یَأۡمُرُ أَهۡلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرۡضِیࣰّا ﴿٥٥﴾

wuxuuna ahaa mid fara chelkiisa salaadda iyo zakada, wuxuuna ahaa mid Eebe agtiisa lagaga raalli yahay

And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakah and was to his Lord pleasing

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِی ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ إِدۡرِیسَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّیقࣰا نَّبِیࣰّا ﴿٥٦﴾

kuna sheeg kitaabka (nabi) Idriis, wuxuu ahaa runbadane nabi ah

And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet

وَرَفَعۡنَـٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِیًّا ﴿٥٧﴾

waxaana u koryeellay meel sare

And We raised him to a high station

أُو۟لَـٰۤئِكَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَیۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِیِّـۧنَ مِن ذُرِّیَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنۡ حَمَلۡنَا مَعَ نُوحࣲ وَمِن ذُرِّیَّةِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَإِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ وَمِمَّنۡ هَدَیۡنَا وَٱجۡتَبَیۡنَاۤۚ إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ خَ̅رُّ̅و̅ا۟̅ ̅سُ̅جَّ̅دࣰ̅ا̅ وَبُكِیࣰّا ۩ ﴿٥٨﴾

kuwaas waa kuwuu u nicmeeyey Eebe oo nabiyadii ah, oo durriyadii aadam ah, iyo kuwaan xambaarray la jirka (nabi) nuux iyo durriyaddii nabi Ibraahim iyo israa'iil iyo kuwaan hanuuninay oon doorannay, marka lagu akhriyo korkooda aayaadka Eebaha Raxmaan ah way dhacaan iyagoo sujuudi oo ooyi

Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping

۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ أَضَاعُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَوَ ٰتِۖ فَسَوۡفَ یَلۡقَوۡنَ غَیًّا ﴿٥٩﴾

waxaase ka gadaal maray kuwo xun oo dayacay salaadda oo raacay waxay naftoodu doonto (oo xun) waxayna la kulim sharr

But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا فَأُو۟لَـٰۤئِكَ یَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَلَا یُظۡلَمُونَ شَیۡءࣰا ﴿٦٠﴾

cidda toobad keenta oo rumeysa oo camal fiican fasha mooyee, kuwaasu waxay gali jannada lagamana dulmiyo waxba

Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all

جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنٍ ٱلَّتِی وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعۡدُهُۥ مَأۡتِیࣰّا ﴿٦١﴾

jannooyinka cadnin (yey gali) ee ah tuu u yaboohay (Eebaha) Raxmaana addoomadiisa, iyagoo maqan, wuuna ahaan yaboohiisu kii yimaadda

[Therein are] gardens of perpetual residence which the Most Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. Indeed, His promise has ever been coming

لَّا یَسۡمَعُونَ فِیهَا لَغۡوًا إِلَّا سَلَـٰمࣰاۖ وَلَهُمۡ رِزۡقُهُمۡ فِیهَا بُكۡرَةࣰ وَعَشِیࣰّا ﴿٦٢﴾

kuma maqlaan dhexdeeda hadal macno darro, ee waxay maqlaan salaan, waxayna ku mudan rizqigooda dhexdooda aroor iyo galabba

They will not hear therein any ill speech - only [greetings of] peace - and they will have their provision therein, morning and afternoon

تِلۡكَ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِی نُورِثُ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِیࣰّا ﴿٦٣﴾

taasi waa jannada aannu dhaxalsiin addoomadanada kooda ah mid dhawrsada

That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants who were fearing of Allah

وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمۡرِ رَبِّكَۖ لَهُۥ مَا بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِینَا وَمَا خَلۡفَنَا وَمَا بَیۡنَ ذَ ٰلِكَۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِیࣰّا ﴿٦٤﴾

kuma soo dagno amarka Eebahaa mooyee, waxaa u sugnaaday waxa horteenna ah, iyo waxa inaga dambeeya iyo waxa u dhexeeya arrintaas, mana aha Eebahaa mid halmaansan

[Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا فَٱعۡبُدۡهُ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ لِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦۚ هَلۡ تَعۡلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِیࣰّا ﴿٦٥﴾

waa Eebaha samooyinka iyo dhulka iyo waxa u dhaxeeya ee caabud kuna samir cibaadadiisa, ma u ogtahay Eebe wax la mid ah, (oo la magaca)

Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him

وَیَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوۡفَ أُخۡرَجُ حَیًّا ﴿٦٦﴾

wuxuu dhihi dadkii (gaalka) ma markaan dhinto yaa laysoo bixin anoo nool

And the disbeliever says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive

أَوَ لَا یَذۡكُرُ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ یَكُ شَیۡءࣰا ﴿٦٧﴾

miyuuna xusuusanayn dadku anagu inaanu abuuray horay isagoon waxba ahayn

Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحۡشُرَنَّهُمۡ وَٱلشَّیَـٰطِینَ ثُمَّ لَنُحۡضِرَنَّهُمۡ حَوۡلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِیࣰّا ﴿٦٨﴾

Eebahaan ku dhaartaye waannu kulmin iyaga iyo shayaadiinta, waxaana keenaynaa gaararka jahannamo iyagoo fadhiya

So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees

ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِیعَةٍ أَیُّهُمۡ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عِتِیࣰّا ﴿٦٩﴾

markaas waxaannu ka siiban koox kasta midkooda ugu daran madax adayg (gaalimada)

Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence

ثُمَّ لَنَحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلَّذِینَ هُمۡ أَوۡلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِیࣰّا ﴿٧٠﴾

annagaa og kuwa mudnaan badan galidda naarta

Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein

وَإِن مِّنكُمۡ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَاۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتۡمࣰا مَّقۡضِیࣰّا ﴿٧١﴾

cid idinka mid ah oon ku aroorayn ma jiro naarta, arrintaasna waxay ku ahaatay Eebahaa wax go'an oo xukuman

And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّی ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ فِیهَا جِثِیࣰّا ﴿٧٢﴾

Markaas waxaannu korin kuwa Dhawrsaday, waxaannu kaga tagi Daalimiinta Dhexdeeda iyagoo Jilbo u Fadhiya

Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ءَایَـٰتُنَا بَیِّنَـٰتࣲ قَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَیُّ ٱلۡفَرِیقَیۡنِ خَیۡرࣱ مَّقَامࣰا وَأَحۡسَنُ نَدِیࣰّا ﴿٧٣﴾

marka lagu akhriyo korkooda aayaadkanaga oo cad cad waxay u dhihi kuwii gaaloobay kuwa rumeeyey labada kooxood midkee khayrroon naggadi oo wanaagsan kulan (fadhi)

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association

وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ أَثَـٰثࣰا وَرِءۡیࣰا ﴿٧٤﴾

badanaa intaan halaagnay hortood quruun ka fiican xoolo (iyo dhar) iyo aragba

And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance

قُلۡ مَن كَانَ فِی ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِ فَلۡیَمۡدُدۡ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ مَدًّاۚ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا رَأَوۡا۟ مَا یُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَیَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ هُوَ شَرࣱّ مَّكَانࣰا وَأَضۡعَفُ جُندࣰا ﴿٧٥﴾

waxaad dhahdaa ciddii baadi ku sugan ha u fidiyo (sugo) Eebaha Raxmaana ah fidin, markay arkaan waxaa loogu gooddiyey ama cadaaba ama saacadda (qiyaame) waxay ogaan cidday xumaan badantahay gurigiisu oo taharyar junuud (ciidamo)

Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers

وَیَزِیدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱهۡتَدَوۡا۟ هُدࣰىۗ وَٱلۡبَـٰقِیَـٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُ خَیۡرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابࣰا وَخَیۡرࣱ مَّرَدًّا ﴿٧٦﴾

wuu u siyaadiyaa Eebe kuwa hanuunay hanuun, kuwa hadha ee suuban (camalka) yaa khayrroon Eebahaa agtiisa abaal marin khayrna roon meel laysu celiyo

And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse

أَفَرَءَیۡتَ ٱلَّذِی كَفَرَ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَیَنَّ مَالࣰا وَوَلَدًا ﴿٧٧﴾

ka warran midka ka gaalooby aayaadkanaga oo yidhi waxaa lay siin (aakhiro) xoolo iyo carruur

Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]

أَطَّلَعَ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عَهۡدࣰا ﴿٧٨﴾

ma wuxuu daalaeday waxa maqan, mise wuxuu ka yeeshay Eebaha Raxmaana agtiisa ballan

Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise

كَلَّاۚ سَنَكۡتُبُ مَا یَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ مَدࣰّا ﴿٧٩﴾

saas ma aha ee waannu qori wuxuu sheegi, waxaana u fududaynaa (kordhin) cadaabka fidin

No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively

وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا یَقُولُ وَیَأۡتِینَا فَرۡدࣰا ﴿٨٠﴾

waana dhaxlaynaa wuxuu sheegi wuxuuna noo imaan kali

And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةࣰ لِّیَكُونُوا۟ لَهُمۡ عِزࣰّا ﴿٨١﴾

waxay yeesheen Eebe ka sokow ilaahyo inay ugu noqdaan cizi (tabar)

And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor

كَلَّاۚ سَیَكۡفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ وَیَكُونُونَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ضِدًّا ﴿٨٢﴾

saas ma aha ee waxay ka gaaloobi cibaadadooda, waxayna ku noqon korkooda lid (col)

No! Those "gods" will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgement]

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینَ عَلَى ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ تَؤُزُّهُمۡ أَزࣰّا ﴿٨٣﴾

miyaadan ogayn inaan ku dirro shayaadiinta gaalada oy boorrin (baadiyeyn) baadi

Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement

فَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمۡ عَدࣰّا ﴿٨٤﴾

ee ha ku degdegin korkooda, waannu uun u tirin tirec

So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number

یَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ وَفۡدࣰا ﴿٨٥﴾

xusuuso maalintaan u kulmineyno kuwa dhawrsaday Eebaha Raxmaana iyagoo wafdi ah

On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation

وَنَسُوقُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرۡدࣰا ﴿٨٦﴾

oon u kaxaynayno dambiilayaasha xagga jahannamo iyagoo aroora

And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirst

لَّا یَمۡلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عَهۡدࣰا ﴿٨٧﴾

mana hantaan shafeeco cid ka yeelata Eebaha Raxmaana agtiisa ballan mooyee

None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant

وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَلَدࣰا ﴿٨٨﴾

waxay dheheen (gaaladu) wuxuu yeeshay Eebaha Raxmaana ilmo

And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son

لَّقَدۡ جِئۡتُمۡ شَیۡءًا إِدࣰّا ﴿٨٩﴾

waxaad la timaadeen wax wayn

You have done an atrocious thing

تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتُ یَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا ﴿٩٠﴾

oy u dhawdahay samooyinku inay la dillaacaan lana jeexmo dhulku oy la hoobato buuruhu burbur

The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation

أَن دَعَوۡا۟ لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ وَلَدࣰا ﴿٩١﴾

inay u sheegeen Eebaha Raxmaana ilmo

That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son

وَمَا یَنۢبَغِی لِلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ أَن یَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا ﴿٩٢﴾

kuma habboona Eebaha Raxmaana inuu yeesho ilmo

And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son

إِن كُلُّ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّاۤ ءَاتِی ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ عَبۡدࣰا ﴿٩٣﴾

wax kastoo Samada iyo Dhulka ku sugan uxuu u imaan Eebe isagoo Addoona

There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant

لَّقَدۡ أَحۡصَىٰهُمۡ وَعَدَّهُمۡ عَدࣰّا ﴿٩٤﴾

wuu koobay Eebe wuuna Tiriyey Tiro

He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting

وَكُلُّهُمۡ ءَاتِیهِ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ فَرۡدًا ﴿٩٥﴾

Dhammaantoodna waxay u imaan Eebe Qiyaamada iyagoo Kali ah

And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ سَیَجۡعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وُدࣰّا ﴿٩٦﴾

kuwa Xaqa rumeeyey ee Camal fiican falay wuxuu u yeeli Eebaha Raxmaana Jacayl

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection

فَإِنَّمَا یَسَّرۡنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوۡمࣰا لُّدࣰّا ﴿٩٧﴾

waxaan uun ugu fududaynay Quraanka Carrabkaaga inaad ugu Bishaarayso Quraanka kuwa dhawrsada uguna Digtid Qoom dood badan (oo xun)

So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people

وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هَلۡ تُحِسُّ مِنۡهُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ أَوۡ تَسۡمَعُ لَهُمۡ رِكۡزَۢا ﴿٩٨﴾

Badanaa intaan halaagnay hortood Qarni, ma ka kasaysaa xaggooda (aragtaa) Ruuxna, ama ma ka maqli xaggooda Cod

And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound
